I'm starting to wonder if I even want to switch to Att now from Sprint. This preorder had been a nightmare and I've heard nothing but people bashing them. What do you guys think? Cancel my preorder and stay with Sprint or wait it out??
I will say personally I have never had an issue with my AT&T service and the prices were more affordable for me compared to Verizon. And quite frankly, I've always had great customer service when I switched last year from Verizon and had questions about my bill or whatever all along over the past year. Granted, I don't think I'll ever preorder again through them because this whole situation has been crap, and while I think something did go wrong on their end as far as online preorders, I think phone quantities and shipments can't solely be blamed on them. Once this dust settles and I have my new device, I'm quite confident that I'll be more than pleased with my service and the plan options I have available to me just like I was for the past year.

There is no secret you have to buy it ourright. The guy was just misleading people. He even got one person to cancel their preorder and now she will not have a phone.. who knows when
I didn't mislead anyone. I went to the Apple Store for my Verizon phone pre order, and was offered next by the associate... I turned it down. I've been very up front that I bought my phone outright. I never once claimed to have bought a Verizon phone on next, just relayed what I was offered at the Apple Store. Others claimed that they got phones with next... anyway, I did not intentionally mislead anyone.

iPhone 7+ 32GB - Matte Black ordered on 9/9 at 5:56AM EST - just got shipping notice (9/19 at 2:49PM EST) delivery for tomorrow 9/20 by 3PM. Original delivery was from 9/30-10/7
Coming from FedEx (picked up at Fort Worth Texas) to Northeast Ohio

128GB 7 Plus Matte Black - Ordered 9/9 4:04:09am - No movement yet, but based on some of the shipping notices, hopefully soon.

Just for for fun I went to the http://www.istocknow.com/live/ site to see what is available in various stores. It turned out to be rather depressing. I checked about 8 stores around the country and only found two that had any 256 GB 7+ iPhones at all. And these are Apple Stores. (One in Tucson and one in Grand Rapids.) :(

Oh well, ATT told me between 9/23 and 9/30 so I'll start to get upset around 11:00 PM on 9/30. :D Until then I'll just wait expectantly, my present iPhone still works OK.

You clearly stated that the rep offered you all options including NEXT. But Ok. I will just let it go.. and you should too by accepting your mistake.

Hahaha, you do that honey. Look man, I'm sorry that you somehow managed to screw this up... but it isn't my fault. You are the only person who followed my advice and didn't get their phone. Read back through the posts. All I can tell you is that when I went in, the rep offered me all options, INCLUDING NEXT.

I can accept that I passed on bad info from an Apple employee in store, and that it would have been smarter to throw in a disclaimer while talking to folks. My only motivation was to help people get phones quicker... clearly that wasn't the case and for that I feel bad. What upsets me is when people jump to conclusions (kinda like I did) and assume I was intentionally misleading. I was not. At any rate, we all know the score now, and how to get phones a different way if we need to.

Just got this email from AT&T. The just know how to piss me off even more.
IP7 matte black. Ordered 9/9 @ 12:50pm. No movement.

I ordered at 11:58 pm Pacific and haven't heard a peep from these guys since my confirmation email early morning on the 9th.
Yeah I haven't heard s**t from them either. Same status since 9/9.

Might try the 12:01 am Apple Store near my location as chrisutd said he had some luck with it...

The thing is, at this point is if it were to ship as 'scheduled' to arrive Friday that's fine, super...that would be great...but as mentioned in this thread there is no order transparency/certainty or way to speculate which one of us may 'win' the ATT pre-order lottery next.

I had 4 lines available for upgrade, so I am keeping my original Jet Black 7+ 256GB that I did on 9/9 through ATT and then I placed another one for the same phone today on Apple's site. We will see which one ships 1st. (shouldn't be even a question!)

I just got off the phone with AT&T CS. Everything is fine with my order. They're just waiting for the warehouses to be replenished. I'm patiently waiting for the 256 JB 7+. My estimated shipping dates are 9/30-10/7. I preordered 9/9 @ 3:20 EST..

they get u a time frame when the warehouse would get more?

IMPORTANT ISSUE AND QUESTION: All of us on the AT&T NEXT Plan had either paid our 12th payment before Sept 9th, or paid it in advance to qualify for the upgrade. The question is, what happens in the next few days if we don't get our phones. Is AT&T going to charge a 13th payment. And, then if they charge the First Payment when we get the new phone, we will have lost that money on the 13th payment. And, more importantly, next year when the really big deal phone comes out, instead of just having to pre-pay one payment (our 12th), we will have only paid our 10th. So, we will have to pay TWO PAYMENTS before upgrading.

This is just a concern and makes it unfair if it happens.

Has anyone found out what is happening to our Installment Payments on the prior phone pending receiving the iPhone 7?

The best thing would be for them to make the next payment NUMBER 1 on the iPhone 7's as long as we have ordered them.

We'll see what happens, but if anyone has found out about this, please reply.

Thanks.

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with the AT&T rep. She told me that they are NOT going to charge a 13th installment payment pending our getting our upgraded phones. So, hopefully he is right. So often, you are told the wrong information.

sign onto me att account for ***** and giggles to see if my phone got shipped.

128 gb matte black 7plus slipped to 10-21 to 10-28. When I first ordered my phone my ship date was 9/30-10-07. Then last Thursday, it slipped to 10/7-10/14. Wtf.

The only plus is that they refunded me the 900$ they charged to my credit card last week. No it was not a hold. There was some kind of mess up with att.

I'm pissed.
