Can you switch your AT&T sim from a 6s into the 7 without dealing with AT&T to activate the 7? (And not get charged a fee)
 
AND not single plus model in all of Ohio. The Dayton store doesn't even have a sinlge iPhone 7 any model. This is ridiculous.

When does actual stock update for reservations? They're up for my local stores but stock is the exact same as it was when reservations closed in the evening.

I'm surprised you got a response at all. They will tweet when they see you have a problem and they will tell you to DM them. That's as far as I got. They wouldn't respond to me again. I've given up on caring. Grabbed my phone phone from an Apple Store and couldn't be happier. I really hope you get yours soon.
I was able to get a few responses from them via DM, but they haven't been much help at all in regards to the preorders. Mostly just "first come, first served" and the device I ordered was backordered, which was a MB 7+ 128g.

You won't have to call att to activate but they will still charge you! Just call and complain and others have reported they will reverse it.
 
When I text the ordr number I get backordered...when I check order status on 2 different websites I get PFS and "processing"...WHICH IS IT AT&T?!?! I'm gonna assume the best and that is that my will ship soon because of the back ordered status:rolleyes:

I'm porting my T-Mobile phone to att. Well today I tried to do a reserve on the computer, says my number is already being ported on the apple site? Is that good news? Does that mean my iPhone is shipped?

Mine has been in the process on preparing to ship for more than a week. That's why I ask
 
Got my 7+ MB today that I reserved. It was a nightmare, took me 2 hours.

First I was told I couldn't even get the phone because I wasnt part of the Apple upgrade program and Apple had me call the 800 number in the store saying I can have them change my order to the NEXT program. Wrong, waste of 15 minutes. The guy on the phone said something like "that reservation system is only for people in the Apple upgrade program, I'm not sure how you found the link, someone posted it online and its causing confusion" Dude what, its the first link when you search google for it, its not some special secret link. He couldn't do anything for me. Hung up.

Went back to the Apple employee who was "helping" me and told him they said they cant change my order. He said he'd go check with his manager to see if he could do something for me. After waiting for him for about 30 minutes I said screw it and it went up to the front of the store and they checked me in... The other guy never even checked me in. My reservation was at 4, it was now 5. Checked me in, wait about 5 min, get a guy helping me, gets the phone out to me within 5 minutes. I waited to cancel my ATT order so that caused problems with the activation, took 3 times to try to activate it. I now have 3 hold on my CC as well haha.

But I was only able to do the Apple program with the reservation, I could not change it to the Next. Which isnt a huge deal, I just didn't want them to do a credit pull and stuff and just wanted it added to the phone bill but oh well.
 
Phew, only $190 for my 6+. I'm just gonna trade it in to Apple tomorrow for $225. Not in the best condition to sell on craigslist and deal with those fools.

Ah it says it won't match the $650, I'm sure its close to what Apple is offering anyways.

There is no way to change the phone I just got from the Apple program to the ATT one is there?
Glad you told me this. The "up to" language is tricky. My pristine 6+ is only worth $170.00 to them. No way.
 
Sorry, I may have given you incorrect information. Apparently, you can only do the trade-in if you buy from ATT (don't do it!!!).

When I obtained my phone from the Apple Store today, the Apple employee asked me if I wanted to trade my phone in for the $650 credit. I declined because I had a standing offer from a company that purchases used phones.

I've been following this thread since page one and I think I figured out AT&T'a shipping pattern.

First they divided up the US into 5 regions,
NE,SE,Central,NW and SW. They then took last years preorder figures and allocated each region a percentage based on those numbers.

This is where your preorder time comes in for your region. You are then prioritized based on your region.

Once AT&T got all these number computated. They then threw all that away and started playing darts with your order numbers separated based on your model and size and have been having a blast playing games at your expense.

On that note on I'm the same boat as everyone....ordered at opening of preorder (128gb MB) and have had no update. Hopefully things work out and everyone gets there stuff soon.
