Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

So reading thru the post i am seeing some peoples orders are changing status to back ordered which scared me a bit so i went in to check the status of my order. As of now my order is still preparing to ship. Not going to worry yet, because my ship dates are still in the future.

If your phone goes to back ordered it's a good thing. Orders have been switching from preparing to ship to back ordered just prior to the actual shipping of the phone.
 
My *6737# text did change to back order within the last few hours but every other method of checking order status still says "preparing to ship" or "processing." I have a good feeling about this. Looks familiar from others past shipment processes.

Unfortunately for me there are no 7+ 256gb black anyone even remotely close to me.
 
Just got my shipping info via *6737# Went to back ordered around 2:40 today and shipping info just now. MB 128 plus
 
Got the spam text, even more frustrated now. Gonna keep waking up at 12:01am and trying to reserve a phone in store, so that I can cancel that AT&T order I sent to hell.

Same here. So hard to get my hands on any non-32gb MB plus.

But there has been plenty in NYC stores just lying around last night and this morning - can't believe I'm living like next door to the Apple HQ and Apple is prioritizing NYC only.
 
I received that text, checked the site and my phone was still "preparing". I've checked again about 30 minutes later and now I'm in backorder. Seems that some of us may be getting our phones a bit early!

I didn't receive the spam text. Mine still says 'In Progress' on *6737#. Absolutely nothing has happened since I ordered.

My order recently went to back order as well. 7+ MB 128. Ordered 9/9 at 12:00:50am.
Hopefully this is true and my phone will be here in a few days!

yup mine just went to back ordered too, shortly after I got that "spam text" hope this is a good sign. my guess is we will get them on Friday.
 
Hello all, my iPhone 7+ 128 in matte black is now listed as back order via *6737# as of 3:18 PM EST time (3:30 AM preorder 9/9). ATT lists it as preparing to ship. I know there are fellow Pittsburghers in this thread, so take a look at your order. Good luck to yinz!

Not necessarily. My phone never went to a "backordered" status. Went straight from Preparing to Ship on 9/9 to Shipped on 9/19

Same here...*6737# stated it has been backordered. Checking AT&T.com order status still shows preparing to ship. Reading many that went backordered were then shipped out shortly after. I think this is a very good sign indeed!
