I tried signing up for a FedEx account and it was glitchy, and when it kept trying to validate me, it was asking me questions about people I don't even know. I think when I shared my location it obviously used the wrong one, and now I am locked out of registering for delivery manager for a few days.

It did that for me also I knew all but 1 question it was the phone number that was wrong but one of them had the same area code as me so I used it, lol it worked
 
I already had a fedex account setup from last year. This morning I went in and turned on the notification for everything. 2 hours later I got the text.

bottom right has options to email/text/call (< - I activated them all)

The PO and invoice number are on the fedex tracking page; I cannot find the same numbers in any ATT order email. I did read on gizmodo that UPS allows you to search by reference number and your phone number is supposed to work. I tried that on fedex.com and was not successful. I tried the ATT order number well and was not successful....the actual tracking number works. It's in Lenexa Kansas and is shipping Fedex home delivery to California.

One other item that is usually a good indicator is if the charge posted; they do not collect your money until it's shipped as far as I know. The credit card charge is what I usually use as my indicator the order is coming.
The signup is unavailable and now I have exceeded the registration attempts? Oh well go figure. Would much prefer UPS.
 
Any other way to sign up for Delivery Manager? I am logged in and registered- but delivery manager sign up is unavailable
 
I did register an account, but apparently their system require a separate registration for delivery manager and I am stuck on there.

okay I didn't have an account that is how I made one then I went to delivery manager and it had me select a few things one of which I did not recognize (the phone numbers) but one had my area code so I tried it and it got me set up.
 
Same problem with signing up for delivery manager. I wish I had tried to update to my new address last week! I tried updating my address last night and had no luck, then called FedEx and they told me that since I had moved within the last year, there was no way to add my new address...to which I called BS and talked to a manager who got a tech who claimed to have fixed my problem. But they didn't change the address as they said they did.
 
So I JUST ordered my iPhone 7 plus in regular black, 128GB and I got a shipping date of mid October. You guys think I'll get it way earlier than that? I did last year but then again I ordered on day 1

No, they are too busy doing site maintenance.

How can they not have their systems ready for their busiest days of the year. Days they had months to prepare for. Truly incompetent. I heard people saying that ATT brought their site down for scheduled matience 2 hours after the preorders began. If that is true, they are worse than I thought. Taking down the system for maintenance two hours into an iPhone preorder morning. Insane.

Amen! I work for a carrier whom shall not be named. This is a HUGE product launch. Each years a circus and they don't learn thier lessons and hence have the same poopy old system. If they didn't have a change freeze and executed work during or shortly after preorders began then some folks need to be fired and held accountable. After knowing what happened to play dumb and make people sit on hold and talk to untrained call center people whom don't have a script to read or have any concept of the launch window is insane. I'll wait just fine for my phone as it's how things are today in MERICA! However to not get a confirmation email for 2.5 days, told to call a series of toll free numbers, and be mislead is poor customer service and terrible management. I was charged six times- had orders cancelled and given robot responses. All I wanted was some semblance of respect since I pay for a service from the provider. I would of settled for anything but was given nothing. I'm not pissed waiting by any means just don't appreciate no info.. ok soap box deactivated

FedEx Delivery manager would be awesome except I had the phones sent to my office and apparently it'll only allow residential addresses to be used.

I ordered in the first 10 minutes; received a shipping date of September 23, 2016 - September 30, 2016.

This afternoon I received a text from Fedex informing me my shipment was picked up and is in process for a Friday Delivery. ATT.com still says "preparing to ship."

Someone mentioned setting up a UPS/Fedex account to get notified when a package is setup under your name; this is as close to real time as we can get and saves the hassle of checking order status repeatedly.

For what it's worth AT&T seems to pad their delivery dates by a few week; historically I have received my phone a week earlier than the original ship dates.

meh no, its for individual also i have been using it for past 5 yrs...
 
So does AT&T also use UPS? I spoke to someone at FedEx and they looked up all the packages coming to my address and the only one is listed to arrive tomorrow and those would be my phone cases. Could it possibly be through UPS?

How long did it take for FedEx to text you?
 
Ordered a 7 Plus Jet Black 128gb with delivery date Oct 14-Oct 21. I have the preparing to ship order status and nothing in my fedex delivery manager.
 
Don't know why my order is showing this. I ordered the iPhone 7, matte black, 32gb.

I've had FedEx Delivery Manager setup for over a year now and have nothing pending shipment to me.
