I'm in the same boat as you. My card has been charged though. I'm hoping it comes on launch day, but if it doesn't there's not much I can do.
Does anyone else feel that Apple may have just grossly underestimated the demand for Plus models? Even with the 6S, among my friends I would say there are 1 Plus model to every 9 regular models. This time around nearly everyone I know who pre-ordered is going from a regular model to a Plus of some sort.
I ordered matte black 7 plus 128gb about 4:30am Eastern and status went straight to Preparing for Shipment. No changes since.

Typically, it's a 24 month contract. I would not do the trade-in (if they are asking you to mail it in). AT&T basically will lose it in their warehouse and claim they never received it. If you do, make sure you photograph the tracking label that is printed out from USPS to mail the phone back. Otherwise, you have no proof documented that you mailed it in.
So I could be wrong here, but won't the jet black finish be similar to the shiny finish that the apple logo is on the back of the iPhone? I haven't used a case and I don't see any scratches on the logo on my 6S Plus. Just a theory...
No, it won't. The apple logo is made from a separate alloy.. Which Apple tends to make it more robust to resist scratches. Don't ask how I know this..

It was indeed glass. The jet black is anodized-highly-polished aluminum. I think it's going to be scratch-prone similar to what you would get on the back of the highly polished iPod classic.
I can't remember, but I think the back on the 4 was glass... because I managed to shatter the back. College wasn't nice to my iPhone 4/4S

I hope I'm wrong. I used to have the high gloss red Lumia 920 model (years ago), which was polished poly-carbonate. The scratches did show over time, but were hardly noticeable for the most part.I can't remember, but I think the back on the 4 was glass... because I managed to shatter the back. I'm literally going to wear gloves when I take mine out of the package and stick it right in the clear case I have waiting for it.
I'm unboxing mine in the anti-gravity chamber I have set up.. That way, it just floats into the case..
I'm beginning to think the 7 plus matte black 128GB are doomed.
I can't say specifics in regards to color and sizes but 7's in a variety of options. No pluses yet :/

I just looked at my orders on ATT and I noticed that the phone I've been using for 2 years almost still has a status on their page of "processing" lol. I never got a tracking from them I just remember the phone being at my doorstop one day from FedEx...sooo I'd wait for an email instead.
