Just to follow up my earlier post, I was told that a manager would call me back in an hour, which obviously didn't happen so I have just called again. Again I was told that the phone would be delivered tomorrow but held to speak to a manager who advised the text was correct and the phone will be delayed until 10th October. I pointed out that 3 of his colleagues had lied to me which he then said 'surely you have made mistakes in your life' !!!! I was then transferred, at my request, to Customer Relations and they confirmed that the phone will be delayed. They've offered a 50% reduction in my first bill and a small reduction in my ongoing monthly payment! I'd rather have the phone though.
Awful customer service. Glad you got some kind of compensation, at least.
