Yo **** Sprint and that bullsht email, how you gonna shoot everyone the email and get hopes up? So basically they just sent us the script they have been reading to us or what? Insteading of wasting time on that they should have given us tracking emails

But FWIW, i live in Northern VA, right outside of DC. Heard people saying not only are orders first come first serve, but that they are also being split for priority by location. EX: Possibly because i am right outside of DC which is a major metropolitan area it has a "higher priority" because of the larger population. Regardless, i hope you get that magical email soon!

I was in class when i got mine and literally JUMPED UP and screamed out loud haha

I'm new to the forum & have been following the thread since Sunday. I got this email as well. FYI-- I ordered a jet black 7 plus 128GB on 9/9 at 6am EST living on the Eastcoast. I'm just going to expect my delivery on or before 10/7. Looks like this phone will be the last on the list!

I'm pretty sure that Sprint was messing with me... I still have no tracking information and I just received the email everyone is talking about that's saying "Your order includes a popular item that's on backorder." ...I am seriously pissed. How can I plan to have someone available to sign for the package if I have no idea when it's even in the area?

I placed my order around the same time though give or take about 20 minutes. This whole process is just exhausting and I've fought the urge to get on the phone with Sprint and demand some kind of reimbursement because the trade in credit on my 6 was the only reason I upgraded in the first place. Depending on which email I've gotten today is correct, I may not make the deadline for the return.
 
I've been lurking for a while, and I only decided to post because I just got that update email from sprint as well. I ordered on 9/12, so I didn't really expect to see my phone before 9/30, but I am really anxious now, lol
 
FWIW I think if you call support, you might get bumped up. I did order mine (MB 7+ 128GB) at like 3:30am PST on 9/9, but yesterday I chatted with support (nicely) and a few hours later I got a shipping notification with a delivery of today. Might be a long hold, but it may help?

Finally lost it and emailed Marci Carris. I resisted for a long time because I try not to be That Customer but nothing about this preorder makes sense. She replied and said she's researching it with her team, and that I should check my Spam folder. Gee, thanks...o_O

I've been lurking a while myself and thought that I would jump in a give an update. I agree with jmc77. I chatted with order support this morning just to make sure that my order was still in place since I was seeing order numbers all around mine going out. I just told the rep that I wanted to make sure that everything was okay with my order. The rep (Joanna) was very nice and gave the standard line that she expected the phone to ship by 9/30, but hopefully I would see it before that. Within an hour of that chat, I received my shipment confirmation with my tracking number.

My order number is 803472xxx on 9/9, confirmed at 6:33 am. 7+132 GB MB
 
Just got the same e-mail as everyone else has been getting this morning.

So basically they are saying everything but the iPhone 7 32GB is a "popular" item and that everything else is backordered. What ******** that is! That's their whole lineup!
