One thing to note, when sending your phones back in or trade in, Be sure you sign out of your Apple ID before hand, because now if you factory reset it without signing out, it will put it into Activation Lock when turned back on for Set Up because the serial is still linked and signed in to your Apple ID.
How?

How what? Go to Settings and iCloud and scroll down and tap sign out. Only then will your Serial be unlinked with your Apple ID. It's a prevention to keep thefts from stealing iPhones and factory resetting them and being able to resell or use them. If you don't sign out, and factory reset it, the phones serial will still be linked to your Apple ID, so when you go to set up the phone again, Apples Servers will detect the phones been reset by it's serial it will say something along the lines of " Please sign into the Apple Account associated with this device" and it will have the Apple ID E-mail like jud*******@gmail.com listed and you have to enter the password to proceed. If you don't have the Account credentials, you are essentially locked out from using the phone and it's a paperweight. Now I'm not sure of the refurbish process, I'm assuming the storage gets wiped or even replaced by Apple, so I'm not sure if it being activation locked would matter as long as the serials match Sprints database as the correct device being returned.

I just got back from Target in flushing and was told by an associate that they have two MB 128g 7+ in store but on hold. If they're not picked up by this Saturday they become available to the public. For anyone near Flushing Queens it might be a good idea to give them a call Saturday morning, especially if your projected ship date is way out there.

That is a long time to hold a product with such a high demand. We have a 3 day hold policy where I work. If someone wants to buy it right then and there, I will sell it, especially being that 95% of holds never come back to buy it.

That's what's up

Wow, Marci's team is quick. I just got a call two hours after initially emailing her, and the agent assigned to my case explained the situation basically the same as yours - Sprint shows the phone was received, UPS shows it wasn't. They're going to reorder my phone and expedite it to me. I'd have preferred to have had it yesterday, but it is what is. Glad it's at least being handled now, rather than a bunch of low-level reps just brushing it off. Sorry you had to go through the hassle, but I'm glad you shared your experience because I'm sure this wouldn't have gotten resolved nearly as quickly otherwise.

Well if he got them today (they get deliveries at around 7AM, before the store opens) that would make Saturday the third day. I think that once they hit the floor they'll be gone very soon. They also have a 7+mb on display.

And I almost forgot, its the College Point store on 20th ave, not the Flushing store on College Pt Blvd & Roosevelt. There's a lot of overlap with College Pt, Flushing, and Whitestone. It gets confusing sometimes.

Glad it's working out for you. Yes Marci's team was on point.
Glad my experience helped get you a quicker resolution. That's what sharing information is all about.

Marci handed me over to Aron who contacted me via email wanting a phone number to call me at, but that was a week ago and never heard anything else from either of them.

Ordered online 9/20. Received 2nd its worth the wait email last Tuesday. How many of these emails before people receive tracking numbers?

I might have spoken too quickly. Marci's team got me a new phone preordered, but now they're saying there is nothing they can do to expedite my order. I have a new phone on order, but I'm at the back of the queue now with a ship date of 11/21-12/11, because of something completely out of my control. I'm back to being pissed, but I don't know what else I can do at this point.

You should be in the next wave I ordered at 1pm so hopefully your next
1 PM? What day? 9/9 or 9/10? Did you already get your phone? Seems like they are still on the first wave of getting 9/9 orders hour. 9/9 AM orders are Wave one and 9/9 PM orders are Wave 2 it seems and based on their shipping estimates for the time frames. I'm 9/10 so seems I'm on the 3rd delivery wave of 11/11

I guess it does. Enjoy your phone man. See you next year for the anniversary pre-order.
