Question: Why are people buying so many cases?
Follow on question: Why does it matter what colour you have (apart from the front surround) if you're putting your iphone into one of these many cases??

Got a bit carried away as they were only a few pounds each, (£6 for two of them and £3 for the other). Two of them are clear cases (one as a backup for the first once it gets too scuffed) and then other is a black one, the same colour as the phone I've gone for when I feel like a change :).

I have an in store pick up for a rose gold 32GB plus on Friday; I have been charged. I only placed that order as my Black isn't due until the 27-29 Sept and I wanted to have a new iPhone on launch day.

But truth is rose gold is a girls colour! Still I guess buy a case. And refund when my black comes.

I've bought clear cases so that I can see the rose gold colour.

Three cases so far, but my 256gb Matte Black is still stuck on 27-29th delivery. Kind of wish i'd ordered sooner now. I was on the app by 8:05am, but once i saw the delivery times I started to look at other models, contemplated whether to order at all, changed delivery address to one better for the end of the month etc meaning my email confirmation wasn't until 08:13. Hope it doesn't cost me getting my delivery bumped up. That said I'm away from the morning of the 17th, so unless it arrives on launch day it might as well not arrive until the 29th.

Well I have the same date as you and ordered at 8:04 so don't sweat it lol.

My order with Very has changed to processing and I emailed them asking how likely delivery on Friday was and they said very likely (even sending me Royal Mail tracking numbers, which I assume means they've booked a pickup for a parcel with RM? Tracking doesn't say anything yet other than that a parcel is due to be delivered). I was already a Very customer so didn't join especially for the iPhone and even on the morning preorders opened on all other websites their advisors were telling people on Twitter that Very wouldn't be taking preorders until October! So, hopefully their buyers did get some stock and it comes Friday. Also ordered a Series 1 watch that also says delivery Friday.
 
So I ordered a 128GB silver 7+ on Friday and it is due to be delivered this Friday 16th.

No money has been taken yet... They've taken the £1 on Friday evening... I'm off travelling for 3 months next week so very anxious!!!!

If it says by the 16th it will be on the 16th.
 
Still 'processing' here on the Apple orders section of the website - I ordered a 256gb iP7 Plus Silver direct from them Friday, delivery saying launch day 16th.

I got an email from Apple yesterday asking me to get in touch to confirm my details with them. Did so today, and got a subsequent email saying the issue was now resolved and I am not required to take any further action.

Still saying processing though even after that - I had hoped it would go to preparing for dispatch by now. My own experience with this process before tells me the statuses are often irrelevant however - and it will arrive on whatever date you were quoted during checkout.

All my details and banking stuff seems fine they say (also had the small amount authorised, which they do check the bank account is active apparently), so just keeping my fingers crossed all is fine, like we all are!
