Perhaps Apple were just playing it safe and we would have got our phones 20th to 22nd anyway and been so happy at the "earlier" delivery?

I guess we'll never know, but any move closer is a good move.

Just added the country to my order of iPhone 7 plus 128gb Matt black and delivery has also changed from 27th to Delivers: 20 Sep - 22 Sep by Standard Shipping

Confirmation of order was 8:09

Anyone think this is actually the date will get it or some sort of bug on their site?

Looks like iPhone stocks have been exhausted then..

Yet Apple Insider have a different article...

"Sure, I've heard the rumors," said an Apple store manager. "It's always tough. Has always been tough during the first few days after everybody got wind of the iPhone."

"We're high-volume, compared to most other stores," the manager said. "It might be different at some of the slower stores, but we'll be able to feed the line for at least a while on Friday."

Reservations site is closed. They offered no solution for UK customers affected by the IUP issues. :(

That means I'm not getting one this weekend then. :(
There were no issues from the IUP I in the UK as it only started last week?!

The US issues are down to people looking to upgrade and not having the choice of stock to do so

Those of us who want to join the program clearly missed out on getting an iPhone on launch day purely because of the way we were choosing to pay for the phone.

I suspect you should always have had that earlier date and you updating something forces the date you see to refresh...
I'm just speculating though.

Updated my delivery address to include the county and its Bumped the delivery dates from 27th to 20th-22nd.

I have an Apple Watch on the same order but sadly that didn't change, still says 30th :(

I think lots of us have IUP reservations for launch day?

You got lucky then. You're not the majority. Depends what configuration you wanted too. My girlfriend has a launch day reservation but that's because she got a rose gold 7 which has been in stock most places all week. Anyone wanting a black Plus was pretty much screwed.

My iphone is still showing as "Preparing for Dispatch" even though it is due tomorrow. Still showing delivery date for tomorrow. Anyone else is in the same boat, or has everyone's been dispatched?

Nope mine is exactly the same as yours.

Just updated my County on my order snd my Black iPhone 7 Plus moved from the 27th-29th to the 20th-22nd, which is ideal for me, as those are both weirdly my days off next week. Starting to think the 27th-29th was just insurance for Apple incase they couldn't fulfil orders in time, very happy it'll be here next week instead

But then again, my phone is still in "Processing Items". Fingers crossed it makes some movement today or over the weekend

There aren't enough black phones ready for launch day this year. I do agree that reservation system has been a bit confusing as it seems that you can make a reservation under the UGP and then pay up front in the store although this wasn't made clear.

However there just aren't enough black phones for launch regardless of whether you choose the upgrade programme, in store pick up or home delivery.

I've been watching this thread since pre order. Did the same thing and added my county to the shipping address and my plus 128gb black moved forward delivery date. How bizarre? But amazing!
Yep I just tried it and it worked for me too. I didn't even change anything. I just hit the update button and "POW", my deleviery date changed to 20-22 Sept

Happy dispatch day home-delivery folks!

Based on previous dispatch cycles, those of you who are getting a UKMail dispatch should get a dispatch notification later this morning or this afternoon, and those of you who are getting it via UPS should hear later this afternoon or this evening, and if they use a different courier, who knows when it'll come today - but it will! :)

The reservation system is offline now too (since midnight) - it'll be back on at 6am on Saturday.

After that Apple statement I'm paranoid my reserved Jet Blacks won't be available and it was just a system glitch or something.

Grr, fingers crossed.

Are there any diary stories of Apple messing up reservations before?

I assume all the date bumps from changing the address info are for the black models and not jet black and definitely not the 7+ JB?

Tbh a change of date has probably just caused a refresh of the order... And those orders would likely have been pulled in eventually... Maybe

I got a dispatch email for my case Tuesday at 9.03am which came yesterday so expect something to happen this morning, if it says delivers 16th don't panic you will get it tomorrow!

Which is all down to a limited inventory. Wait till next year when all on the IUP try getting the fabled 10th anniversary phone.. Will be chaos

To be fair, Apple did mess up the reservation link on their website. It took about 30 minutes for the link to start working on the iPP pages (if you clicked directly from the store it worked)

There's a chance people were unable to reserve during that time and missed the phone they wanted.
