My biggest monthly outlay is for the deductions that go into my savings accounts! I never pay interest on anything (don't even own a CC)
Same here apart from the mortgage. I do have a credit card but it is for work expenses only, so I'm not out of pocket and it gets cleared every month when my expenses are paid so never get an interest charge.

Anyone order a 128gb 7 plus in black and still preparing for delivery? I seeem to be the only one that didn't see any movement last night :(
Yeah a couple of us.

Finished the mortgage at 33. Most people haven't started one by then! Of course it was easier to borrow back then.
These days I find it alarming how much debt some of my colleagues are in.
I enjoy my new gadgets, but I'd make sure I had a roof over my head first.

Ok understood. They will come. Just might take a week or two.
Now if you have to make 12 payments before you get an upgrade, and you can't start until a month after the iPhone launches, would that mean you'd be a month late getting each and every upgrade phone afterwards? Worth thinking about IMO.

That was my thought all along. Wasn't fussed about getting it on launch day, as it's just a phone, I'll get it when I get it. Getting on the iUP later just means it's easier next year. Those that want to get one on launch day next year can still make an extra payment and upgrade too, so it's neither here nor there. The main issue for people at the moment, is the same as every year: impatience.

I've got a "Driver acceptance Scan" at 6.44am.

Unfortunately, it's UKMail, so I've got to wait for an email/text informing me of a 1 or 2 hour delivery window, which they will absolutely not stick to, if previous iPhone deliveries are anything to go by.
Is the delivery window viewable on the website tracker for UKMail?

Well I'm almost certain this was Apple's plan anyway. My girlfriend will have made the 11 payments necessary next August. Meaning she'll be charged an extra month before she gets a new phone, every year. They're making an extra payment on her every year. Seems lucrative.

Extra payment every year, it'll only be an extra payment the year you want to upgrade early.

Also that's only if you want it on launch day. It's not compulsory.

Anyway I looked at the payments they didn't stack up for me. I make very few monthly payments as a choice. by the time you have phones, broadband, car and streaming, it could quite easily be like having a mortgage again.

The payments are no different to what you'd pay upfront. How does that not stack up?

Thing is if any new stock is arriving in the UK then surely they are going to allocating any stock to people who put through their orders last week and are still waiting for delivery. Don't get me wrong the levels of stock is annoying but it surely must get better as the week goes on.

Online orders are from different stick to store orders.

Which is every year because that's the whole point of the Upgrade Program??

Anyway, I've worked out that because of the way the payments are taken, it shouldn't be a huge issue and should work itself out.

Same boat. Let's not worry yet.

Mine too, but I assume it's just a slowness in their updates. I expect the deliveries still to be made today. Does anyone know if UKMail sends us the hour within which they will deliver?

You don't have to pay an extra payment to upgrade next year, unless you want it on launch day.

Your issue only applies if you want to get it on Launch day, for me, I'll get one next year on the iUP, just won't be on launch day and I won't pay the extra payment. What difference does it make getting the phone on launch day or 3 weeks later? None, unless you want to show off to people.

If you did want it at launch, it would only be the one extra payment that year. No extra payments on later years.

UKMail sent me a text at 7am with an estimated 1 hour slot and it arrived 20 minutes ago. Too tired to do anything with it now but at least it's here!

If I understand what you're saying, you're suggesting the 'extra payment' is if you're short of 11 months payments and you want the phone when it comes out. Yes, in that case you'd have to pay more to make yourself eligible for upgrade. But what I'm saying is, for people who will have paid 11 months in August, they could end up paying an EXTRA month while waiting around for the iPhone to be released. That's an extra payment because you only have to pay 11 months to upgrade, but if there's nothing to upgrade to then your existing contract is gonna keep charging you until you upgrade.

But what I've worked out, is that those of us not yet signed up, our payments will be taken towards the end of every month. Meaning if you get to August and you've paid your 11 months, you'll be eligible to upgrade when the iPhone 8 comes out early in September, before your September payment.

I hope that makes sense and that I've understood what you're saying.

My DPD parcel arrived at the nearest depot 6:42am, ready for delivery...I could actually get my phone today instead of tomorrow fingers crossed!!

Still waiting, hopefully that will change to something relating to dispatch soon? Considering its the 20th now. I can only hope...

Hmm I'm with UKMail, expected delivery today but still haven't received a text. Should I be worried?
Don't think it's anything to worry about. I had UKMail on Friday and I only had tracking of 'out for delivery' at 7.14am showing on their website. No further contact until delivery at about 11am
