I contacted UPS (who couldn't provide any help) who then advised I call Apple.
I contacted Apple who told me that there was an incident in China (not sure what) and unfortunately my order would not be delivered until the 4 October 😡
So might be an idea for UPS UK orders showing "EXCEPTION" in the tracking details section to call Apple and enquire.

I'm seeing exactly the same.
When I enquired with Apple (UPS told me that Apple may be able to provide more information/help) I was told they had been some incident in China and unfortunately my order would not be delivered until 4 October.
