Service Guarantee just arrived from JL, so maybe okay for tomorrow then.
Good stuff! To be doubly sure, if you go to the hidden order lookup page (https://www.johnlewis.com/myaccount/lookup-order) you can find a status of your order that is more precise than what displays in the My Account area.

Right now the best thing for it to say is "complete" and assuming you're doing click and collect, complete will update to despatched bang on the stroke of midnight.

(Gosh I've done this too many times! :D)

Just had a call from John Lewis (Sheffield number) to go through some security checks. Probably as it's my first order from them. Looking good so far! Lady confirmed it would be ready for pickup after 2 tomorrow!

So are the John Lewis phones like the Apple ones, unlocked and not just sim free (locking to the first sim)Brookzy?

Has anyone had their money taken when buying the iPhone 7 with the Apple Store iOS app using Touch ID to pay?

I ordered this way on the 9th and the phone was delivered on the 20th but nothing has been taken yet, not even any hold of funds!

Well that's great they tried delivering but it was missed. Is it not possible to tell UPS to deliver at a specific time?

On the DHL beta tracking service it says they don't set off until 8.40 this morning.

I presume that is GMT but not sure.

Dave

Hi Dave. I think you are right. I was thinking it was local time in China. Oh well, a bit more waiting around then!

Stiiiiiiill waiting! Have a desk full of other parcels that got my hopes up - and I was hoping to get the restore done while I was here, but given how long it's taken the last couple of cycles that's looking unlikely now...

Yes, John Lewis iPhones are totally unlocked.

That is not correct. You will notice the phones are listed on John Lewis as "Sim-Free". This means they will work on any network but will lock to the network of the first SIM card that is inserted. Apple have the same deal with CPW and JL.

I tried two different sims in the one last year and no problem.

Wow. Glad I missed out now! I'll wait for Apple to restock then.
