iPhone 7/7+ - UK Orders & Dispatches Thread

Quick question and I hope you can help. I got a dispatch notification today and they are using UPS. At the moment the UPS tracking number they gave me is not working yet. Did you experience this as well? Also were you able to use the delivery reference number starting with an 8 in the email as a shippers reference and if yes how do you do it?
I am so sorry that I have so many questions but I am hoping you or anybody who got dispatch notifications and are getting their phone with UPS can help me.

I am not sure about a number starting with 8, I don't think I've seen anything like that.
I checked mine by logging onto my Apple account, finding the order and from there click Track delivery and follow the links through to UPS. It may just be that UPS have not updated their tracking information yet.
Yup had this yesterday and mine was delivered about an hour ago - it's on its way!! Enjoy

John Lewis top tip for those hoping to buy from them...
If they get stock but you miss out on the item you want, check again between midnight and 2AM. It is at this time that John Lewis's farcical and indiscriminate fraud prevention system kicks in and suspends some orders - the items for which are returned back to stock.
For example when on Tuesday they got some Jet Black Pluses (and I was lucky enough to bag two!) they were out of stock by around 9PM, but at 2AM two reappeared (and another poster here got one of them in fact!).

Looking deeper at the tracking, looks like it's arrived with DHL in the Netherlands which means it can potentially be in the UK within a couple of hours, certainly by tomorrow.
I don't think they'll attempt delivery on a Saturday (at least I hope not, as mine is being delivered to work) since I've not ever known Apple orders to delver on a Saturday regardless of who the final carrier is.
Looks like a pretty certain Monday delivery though!

I was lucky earlier and managed to order 1 of the 2 matt black 128gb plus's from john lewis. Received an order acknowledgmant email and they've taken the funds from my bank account. Now they've also sent an email on their extra year guarantee but no confirmation email, it's not showing in my orders either. Was it the same for others who have been successful with them on here? I know some have had trouble with them.
If you've got an order with Apple or someone else don't cancel it until you actually have the phone in your hand though. Something could still go wrong.

already made that mistake and cancelled my apple order which was due for the 13th-19th of october. Managed to get one from carphonewarehouse last week but sent back when I found out it locks to the first network. This JL order is my only hope or its back to refreshing web pages!If you've got an order with Apple or someone else don't cancel it until you actually have the phone in your hand though. Normally when an order falls through for JL it's before the service guarantee email has been issued and it's normally due to the bank or JL blocking the transaction. Given you've got your email and the funds have been taken I reckon you're pretty safe. Good luck though and let us know what happens!
