iPhone 7/7+ - UK Orders & Dispatches Thread

yup UPS saying its out for delivery which is great but no ones there! so tomorrow it is!

as its an apple product they won't allow it to be delivered to a UPS access point which would have been open until 10pm so could have collected after work! I'll have to 'work' from home tomorrow now.

UPS have delivered late in the past for me so hopefully they do again so someone is there!

ARGH!

BROMLEY, GB 10/03/2016 10:11 A.M. The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made.
 
No update on mine, still sitting in Luton as of 7.20 this morning. Still showing as end of day tomorrow for delivery. I'm out, but the wife is home. Problem is when it does arrive I need to take it to Apple store for refund and re-sale on IUP.

I'm really frustrated with UPS, my tracking has no update since it arrived at Tamworth UPS Depot at 6:44 this morning. The Tamworth depot phone number is out of order so I have no idea if it's coming today or if I can go there to collect it. I think I will take my chances at getting a reserve at a store next time.

DHL Tracking - its been 3 days since my 7+ JB changed to 'Dispatched' (YAY!), but I am still unable to track it via DHL Express. Any tips?

Ive tried the 7 digit tracking reference, but nothing is returned when searched on DHL. Am I just being impatient? ;)

tracked seems out of whack today. mine was showing at local depot until it changed to missed delivery!

the apple order status page showed it correctly out for delivery.

you can call ups on the main number stated on their site. just don't provide a tracking ID when prompted to and then you'll get put through to a human!

it does seem all the phones are out for delivery today though.. I'll have to get mine tomorrow now

In your Dispatched email from Apple, use the 10 digit number starting with 8 as a sender's reference on DHL here -
http://www.dhl.co.uk/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

Use the Tracking code provided on the Apple website starting with 6 here - http://www.dhl.co.uk/en/logistics/freight_transportation/air_freight.html under air freight tracking to track the flight its on from China...

Enter the waybill number, and then wait until the automated service tells you the whereabouts of your parcel. Say "advisor" after it's finished, and it will connect you to a real person. Thank you for this, great help. Phoned up about 1/2 hr after it showed out for delivery. They contacted the driver who said he would be with me before 12 and he has just delivered my JB 7+ :)

Mine was out for delivery but typically the wife has decided it was a good time to go to the shops. O wish UPS updated their tracking and gave you a rough idea of time of delivery!

Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you.

While I was waiting for a reply, I started a WebChat with Apple to see if they could give me any more info. The person I spoke to (who ordered the same config, JB Plus 128gb, which coincidently is on the same shipment as mine!) confirmed the shipment was now in Amsterdam, and that I could even expect a delivery in the next few days (Order page currently states the 10th October)... so that will be a nice bonus right! :-D

Great timing for a visit to the shop hey! ;) Yeh, a 1hr window for delivery (that other couriers use) is perfect.

order still stuck in China, Not great that apple haven't contacted people to let them know there is a delay! If there are UPS planes leaving everyday then what's the hold up, getting very boring now, Phone meant to be delivered tomorrow but still stuck in ZhengZhou so probably won't get it until end of the week early next, very bad communication from apple on this!

It's shocking isn't it.

UPS have this reputation for being so super efficient that is just so undeserved in my opinion.

For example I read how in the States their GPSes were reconfigured to prefer right turns, which saved $15 million in fuel a year.

Clearly they haven't noticed that giving an hour slot would cut their missed deliveries and save huge amounts of money wasted on second and third deliveries.

What makes it worse is their mobile data terminals have GPS and data connections in them already, so it's purely a software issue!

Such a crap company. UK Mail or DPD all the way!
 
So, if I hadn't called the depot up I wouldn't have know it was out for delivery, to be honest that sucks, particularly when the delivery says by end of play tomorrow. In one way I'm glad they are trying to deliver early, but if they updated their tracking to indicate it was out for delivery (apparently is was loaded to the van at 7:21), then I might have been able to warn the Mrs. The depot lady said she would ask the driver to attempt a delivery this afternoon, but she can't promise anything.

Oh well, whats another day, when you've waited almost a month.

My best buy skins arrived, sadly one of the sets was partially stuck to the envelope so they're sending me another one out.

My case from 'Aspinals of London' should be with me tomorrow, which is good.
