Think I'm in the minority as I like the EarPods as I hate in ear headphones so I think I could wear the EarPods all day.

What I really like is the case and the way they charge makes them very easy to use and store.

I have some wireless Bluetooth headphones specifically for the gym and it's a pain trying to stick the usb cable in to charge and that's just once a week. Plus the EarPods wouldn't be used for the gym or running as I would carry on with my other ones for that.

Off to New York in in Dec so may treat myself to get them a bit cheaper. Just worried they're a get the piss taken out of you kind of thing lol.

I think you've just totally misunderstood EE's site. That doesn't confirm your iPhone is locked to EE. That's just the standard option on their 'My Account' page.

Hi,

Not to sound rude, but don't think I missed understood:-

Quote
Unlock your phone
Your phone can only be used on the EE network. If you'd like to use a SIM from another network, complete our online form.

Fill in the form >
Unquote

However, another person said it was usual boiler plate description. So I have tried an O2 sim in the phone and can confirm that the phone is still unlocked. So the EE website is misleading with their definitive statement and possibly looking for people to pay the £8.99 to unlock a phone which is already unlocked.

If you were to buy the 256GB iPhone 7 and the new AirPods... it could be cheaper to WoW Air a return flight to NYC and pick them up there... :D

Well that is almost the same price as bluetooth Beats 2 a couple of years ago so I dont think they are too badly priced. Knowing Apple I was holding my breath on £200 so i was quite surprised at £150
from the early comments the sound quality was not the best.. akin to the bundled headphones.. for this kind of money, the sound quality should be the biggest factor..

but then again, if you (not you specifically) are the kind of person who uses the EarPods, and think they sound ok and have no problem with their fit in your ear, and you're not worried about them dropping out, and not planning on using them for gym, exercise etc, and (yes more ands) happy to charge ANOTHER item frequently, and happy to pay a premium for all of this.. then knock yourself out..

I don't think into this description so I'm out

Not really, as the range of Bluetooth headphones/in-ear headphones that are actually decent are £140-£180. The Jaybird ones, Beats, etc. I've tried ones that are cheaper and you get what you paid for...

people also are paying over £800 for an item which they know will scratch and damage...

The ear pods that come with the iPhone are my main headphones. I have beats and Sennheiser headphones and sone samsung bluetooth ones but I just prefer the ones that come in the box. I've even gone out and bought replacements if they stop working/can't find them. I am not an audiophile, although I do know that my Sennheiser headphones sound better and my beats do not sound that great. If I'm going to get a phone without a headphone jack then it makes sense for me to invest in a pair of bluetooth headphones.

My fav wireless headphones are a pair of £20 Aukey sport ones. Now, people are now thinking they can't be good as they need to cost over £140 to be decent.

It's why I'm not going to spend £160 on apples. They simply don't need to cost that much.

You could put it in a case.
you sure can, I just don't see the point in buying the jet black specifically if you then hide it away..

we're all here because we want the phone before anyone else and we want people to know it :)

I wouldn't buy a Ferrari and then drive it with a cover on..

thats why a early October works in my favour to see what the initial reports are like with the Jet Black.. if its super scratchy then it might change my mind... there will be plenty of people on the web who buy a phone to just scratch it to death.. I'm sure it won't blend but if I can't put it in my pocket with anything else, that won't be for me

sounds like you're an ideal candidate for the air pods then..

I know how poor I find the ear pods bundled with the phone compared to any half decent set.. and I'm no audiophile either..

but the air pods will bring the game to other producers, they've simplified the pairing and charging and that can only be a good thing for others to follow

I agree with you, my current ones, until better come along are some £18 Jesbod (QCY) sports ones from Amazon; best fit and bass of the MANY I've tried. I have auditioned pretty much every pair on the market including the new B&O H5 and been dissapointed in them all in some way or another. I will continue the search, but for now, these are fine...

Still Processing i got

iPhone 7 Plus Silicone Case - Midnight Blue

Ive spoken to Apple regarding my In store pickup, as i haven't been charged yet and still showing as processing. They confirmed they have taken a authorisation charge of £1 from my account, and that should see movement Tuesday/Wednesday next week. As my pickup is Friday.

Hope this takes the stress from some people.
