"When Apple decided to add smart connecter warts onto a simple and beautiful clean iPhone back, we were inspired by Mac OS X windows and Xcode outlets. Why Mac OS X windows and Xcode outlets? Well, because Apple in 2016 has no other inspiration anymore. It's the most unbeautiful piece of uninspired design Apple has ever released. The all old iPhone."

Apple's designs have become complete hack jobs. Tim Cook veto this ugly direction of Apple's design please, do not release such nonsense into the world and do a big rethink. Nonsense design is the forte of your competitors.

That's one ugly looking iPhone. If Apple proceeds with such an unresolved rubbish design, it has cemented itself as no longer a design company making the best products. Protruding camera, three random connector dots on the back spoiling the back design. The new iPhone that's full of warts.

What is going down in Cupertino exactly with design? Steve would have been so upset at this.

Disgraceful.

Completely fugly.

I completely agree with the design critics. The iPhone 6(S)+ was good for what it was to update the size. Now its time to move on and reduce the bezel or innovate otherwise.

The performance of these devices is already good enough so we dont need more of the same design-wise. At this point I dont even feel temptedt by the iPhones anymore.

Amazing how many people on here already assume these leaks are real and complaining about the iPhone 7 as being ugly and boring.

Jesus people, did you ever even stop to think that these night be fake?

Let me help you....they are fake.

Sadly, the last batch of iPhone leaks that I also thought were fake - protruding camera, odd camera placement compared to previous one that ran parallel to the radius of the phone, ugly antenna bands and too much emphasis on thin rather than ergonomic, power button opposite volume button so both press together etc turned out to be the iPhone 6. Long gone are the days I say "Apple wouldn't do that ****". This is most likely what we'll see later this year...

I don't think Jony Ive has a clue about how to make the bezels more compact and the phone more usable, he can only think "thin" without someone with a real design vision looking over his shoulder...

Wow, this looks ugly, way uglier than iphone 6/s is. I am sure this design is not real. The camera looks like a wielding mask...

The loudspeaker of the iphone 6/6s is too big to put two of them into the iphone 7. Smaller loudspeakers would cause less base so that they would sound worse than the predecessor and that is of course a no-go! I dont see stereo loudspeakers coming for iphones... only for ipads...

But really apple! I regularly listen to my B&W P7 and you want me to buy a lightning 3,5mm headphone jack adapter?? F§%$&ing crazy! You really should do some anonymous polls to get to know your customers... they want more battery life! I don't remember anyone asking for removal of the headphone jack!
Well at least its very likely now that the next iPhone will support the high quality bluetooth audio codec "aptX"...

Since Jobs died, Ive hasn't created anything remotely good looking. Was it jobs who tweaked the designs to make them look good? Seems like it.

You mean the rMB is not good looking? The Mac Pro? Functional is a thing good looking is another ;)

I'm really thinking that the HTC 10 looks the best alternative at the moment, trying to make everything better rather than arbitrarily thinner - with a rumoured smaller 4.7" version due around the time of the iPhone 7 I may well make the switch, other companies seem to be progressing while Apple is taking some very odd directions with their designs.

I completely agree with this, I know it's a cliche around these parts but every year that passes I think more and more that Steve Jobs had everything the way he wanted and now Apple is all about the profit rather than the product.

Doubt it, Ive has made a few mistakes post-2011, but to say he hasn't created anything 'remotely good looking' is pure rubbish.

Please drop the 'Jobs saved everything, this would never happen with him!' etc narrative. Remember Jobs approved the iPod speaker dock, iTunes ping, the clit-mouse and the buttonless iPod shuffle.

Apple has always made miss steps, only difference is people now have a scapegoat to blame now Jobs isn't around.

Apple, please I am begging you to include dual lens in the iPhone 7 and tot only in the 7 plus. I am going with the SE if 7 doesn't include dual lens.
I am an active person (skater, cyclist, hiker, runner, ...), a father and a guy who has to carry a suit at the job. I can not deal with the size of 7 plus (believe me, I've tried).
I am also a photographer (not just for hobby, I've been published in national edition of National Geographic magazine two times and many others) and I really believe in dual lens technology and the quality it can provide with iOS software (I assume it will be much better than the Huawei's P9) so please, include it in the 7.
And yeah, battery life is a concern! Not to mention the USB-C trend...

This is my first post but I really can't stay quiet about this recent Apple decisions.

So if the 7 does not have dual lenses you opt to take another Apple phone (the SE) without dual lenses and with lower camera quality than the 7? That will show them!!

Ok, i give up. I have been an iPhone/iPod touch user since 2008 but this is too much. I'm switching to samsung.

If Apple comes out with an identical design, without the audio connector and minor improvements theres going to be very few that actually buy this phone. That much I hope Apple understand themselves, despite how high they are on their own coolaid.

All we have heard is thinner iphone so why would this rumour be true? Think people overreact to every rumour.

Genuinely hope the next iPhone looks nothing like that. Am I the only one who thinks that antenna line solution is worse than what we have now? I don't know, it just looks off. I really want the camera to be flush again. And I really want them to try to wow me this time around. But I'm not holding my breath for either of those.

I thought my 6 plus was too thin, or as I used to call it ol bendy :p

Seriously though I really did think it was too thin. When using it, I prefer a little bit of depth. I'm sure once I see it, I may be sucked into Apple's RDF and will be wanting it, but my wife would kill me since I just bought an SE (and I'm absolutely loving it).
