But the screen is still too small to do any real work. And the Galaxy stylus is equal in functionality to the Apple Pencil, though I think the Pencil has more pressure levels.

I'm down with the 256GB storage though. That's what I'm hoping for.

have you used the Apple pencil? The lag time is almost none existant. The Galaxy pen lags big time. Its night and date for taking notes IMO. But as a pointing device the Galaxy is fine.

As far as a physical keyboard, I'm taking about typing mostly not pointing. I can see a physical keyboard that attaches to your iPhone and doubles as a case. That would be really easy to type fast.

I'm talking about a physical keyboard attached to an iPhone using the smart connector.

The galaxy Note pen is piss poor compared to the Apple pencil.

That is very true, the Apple Pencil is brilliant I love using it, I doubt Apple would release one for the iPhone tho. the image is fake anyway so I doubt there will be a smart connector for the iPhone.

While I agree with your comment about the Apple Pencil (it really is great to work with) I don't see Apple releasing a keyboard for the iPhone. I think the iPhone 7 will see new features and a redesign, I just don't see a smart connector being one of them.

Maybe I'm just clueless when it comes to design, but what is it about this one that throws everyone off? It's just a flat back with the antenna lines (that everyone hated) out of the way. Same design as an iPad.

Look back through the thread. People have posted the chinese phone that this part is actually from. Someone just photoshopped the apple markings onto the back.

It's clearly photoshopped and therefore a fake. The other photos schematics are probably real tho (the ones that are shown on a Windows PC)

So if the 7 does not have dual lenses you opt to take another Apple phone (the SE) without dual lenses and with lower camera quality than the 7? That will show them!!

Well yes, I am not going to spend 300€ more even if I am willing to because it doesn't have a significant upgrade. Not in terms of image quality, not in terms of battery capacity and not in terms of size (bigger than SE is not better for me but I am going to tolerate the size of 7 if I get double lens).

You really don't know how subsidies worked? You were still paying full price for the phone with subsidies, just in installments.
Yes i'm completely aware how they worked. But my bill did not get any cheaper when they stopped subsidizing phones. Hence, I will not be upgrading. I figured before since I was already forced to pay the subsidy, I may as well take advantage of it.

Amazing how many people on here already assume these leaks are real and complaining about the iPhone 7 as being ugly and boring.

Jesus people, did you ever even stop to think that these night be fake?

Let me help you....they are fake.

Nonsense. I hear the same **** every time Apple drops a legacy connector.

Save you sob stories and move along.......
Just how these were fake as well?

Do you think rose gold is to feminine? I haven't seen it in person and I am considering this as a color when I purchase the iPhone 7 this Seprember. I have only seen online renderings. The more I see it, the more I like it. And I could care less what every one else thinks about the color.

I am a guy and I now own an iPad Pro 9.7 in rose gold. It looks very great. I have seen guys with their iPhone in this color all the time. You should check that out in person.

It looks like Apple may be following Intel's lead.
I think it's just because their new design is too ambitious for current technology and they couldn't make the deadline. They could also align the big redesign around the 10 year anniversary of the iPhone. I made a thread about it weeks ago, before any rumors about the big 2017 redesign started to leak.

I would have to assume it would be for connecting to a battery case. That way, the case doesn't have to extend way down to plug into the lightening port.
I think so too. It would not surprise me in the least if they made an even slimmer iPhone, and then made a case for it with a battery, that doesn't interfere with normal usage the way other battery cases do. Basically giving people who say they wouldn't mind a thicker phone for longer battery a very reasonable option. One whose total size is similar or only slightly larger than iPhone 6. That would really be something.

Have you heard of wireless BT headphones? Some people been using them for years. I personally rarely use the wired one, but I do admit though that lot of people still use the wired ones. Wired headphones are going to be obsolete, not a matter of if but a matter of when.
Yeah and brain cancer will become all the rage.

Absolutely 100% incorrect. My phone cost me $399 and my plan is $60 a month, 2 gig, unlimited text/voice, minus taxes, through Verizon. There's no hidden offsetting subsidy fee in there anywhere. That's why most carriers have moved away from subsidy pricing. I saved $450 compared to someone who's paying monthly. NOW, not before, some providers have found a way to recoup their subsidizing prices, if they even still offer it, make the access fee more than it is if you go monthly with the phone. I think it's Verizon that's $20/40. I haven't checked in a couple of months. They may not even offer it anymore.

You are 100% incorrect. You were paying for the phone as part of that $60 a month plan. Do you seriously think they were giving you a $250 discount on a brand new iPhone? Hell, Apple barely makes $250 profit on each iPhone it sells.

You really think $60 for 2GB data is the regular price? LOL. More like $45. So you were paying $15 per month for your phone for each payment.

If your bill does not get cheaper than you are getting ripped off.

Companies made up the difference with people who were getting the bigger plans. People like me made out with the smaller plans. A small part of the plan obviously offset some of their losses. Nothing close to $15. It's in the low single dollar amount. These providers came nowhere close to getting full-retail price for each phone. It's the reason you would two different access fee amounts the past year or so, one for subsidized and one for retail. Because providers were losing money on people like me, they dropped two year contracts.

My total cost for two years = $399 + $60(x24) = $1839.
Total cost today for monthly phone = $60 plan (deducted $5 from 3gig plan) + $35.41 (phone) x 24 = $2409.84

Difference = 570.84.

The choice was easy for consumers. Providers knew that and ended subsidizing.

Out of curiosity...
Since most people that have a nice expensive set of headphones use a SINGLE pair- what is your issue with leaving the adapter on the headphones & forgetting it's there?
Also- you say you're not willing to carry "another" adapter... do you mind listing the myriad adapters that you are apparently currently forced to carry around that have put you in your foul mood??

1. I wouldn't be so sure that people only have a single pair of headphones. I have 3 pair of headphones I use regularly, My Bose noise cancelling headphones that I use when I want noise cancelling, my sennheiser HD598 for when I don't care about noise cancelling, and my apple earbuds when I work out. So, if I want to do as you say and leave an adapter on each, assuming the adapter is $29 it would cost me an additional $87 compared to what I would have to spend today. Even one adapter is money I don't have to spend today for the functionality.

2. Is that number really that important? The point here is that there is a lot of functionality that we used to have without adapters (Ethernet port is a big one, I also still use a DVD drive), that now requires an additional investment beyond the initial purchase. So now the same functionality costs more, and requires keeping track of the adapters. It is a worse experience in every way. In the same way you don't seem to understand why I don't like the idea, I don't understand how anyone is not upset about it. It's a clear money grab. The other big thing here is that they don't need to remove the headphone port to have bluetooth and lightning headphones. You can use those things now, so they are in effect simply removing an option and making it more of a hassle to make compatible again.

well that's your choice and your loss.

There were a couple dozen people who also refused to upgrade when Apple replaced the 30 pin with lightning.

The 30 pin adapter is a whole different story. That connector was ~10 years old and had a bunch of legacy connections not used any longer. The lightning was a huge an needed improvement. They are also apple standardized connectors, not industry standard like the headphone connector. In the case of 30-pin -> lightning it was clearly time for a change. In all other times we have moved on, it's because the old is actually on it's way out. This is a case of apple trying to push it out so they can make licensing money on lighting when there is no need, and industry isn't pushing for it either. Sure more people are moving to bluetooth headsets, but the rub here is that you can already use bluetooth and lightning headsets. the headphone jack doesn't need to go away for the features they are touting as the reason. So instead of keeping options people want, they are trying to force everyone to give them more money for the same functionality. Both lightning headphones and headphone adapters will result in more money for apple if everyone just goes along with it. It's Apple's loss if I don't buy another phone from them.

Not being an Apple apologist here, but there may be some positive to removing the headphone jack. Worst case you keep an adapter always connected to the end of your headphones and have it work just as it used to.

Except I'll have to take the adapter off to plug the headphones into EVERY OTHER DEVICE IN THE WORLD.
