The SE is not weaker than the 6s, it's only limitations were the older case that would not easily allow force touch. Other than that , it's as good as the flagship. They won't have the case limitations on a brand new model. And I think Apple has learned it's lesson from the 5C, and now the demand for the SE. Apple customers want a great product. And people are willing to pay for an older iPhone to get that great Apple product even if it's a year or two old as their entry level phone.
People always expect to get the best from Apple, and if a budget low spec phone is what a customer wants, then there are lots of Android phones for a customer to choose from. Getting into that space is not a winning strategy for anyone much less Apple.

The selfie camera isn't as good in the SE as in the 6s. But you are right that the rear camera, which is much more important, is the same as the 6s. So I guess with the same chip and the same rear camera, the SE is pretty much a 6s. Hmm, maybe you will be right after all. That would be great. Thinking about the SE price point, and I'm thinking again that the 7 will launch at a cheaper price than the 6S.

I cant wait for the 10th anniversary iphone next year. It is going to be amazing.

I agree. Then everyone will be praising Apple like the Return of Prodigal Son and no one will ever mention the negativity of the iPhone 7. But then again, this is Macrumors and someone will complain.
[doublepost=1469333536][/doublepost]This Evan Blass who predicts this iPhone launch is now currently stating:

"Evan Blass ‏@evleaks
Just to clarify, this refers to the retail release, not the launch event. To be even more specific, it should happen on Friday, Sept. 16th."

Kind of an interesting guy by the way. He does not seem very friendly on his Twitter Page.

Even if there was a "new watch", it is likely only the internals would change. Considering the lower volumes than the phone (which means it can start production very late) and the fact those 14nm S2 chips in that purported Watch 2 would look a lot like the old ones (maybe even produced at the same place), not seeing anything doesn't tell you much.

zero chance of apple watch g2 in September as watchOS 3 'is like a whole new watch'.
Also because apple watch is their 'most personal product yet' updates will be biennial.

well the apple watch doesn't need upgrading every year but I can see it coming but no leaks maybe suggest it won't be during the iphone event

I still, to this day, believe Apple leak out information at launch day approaches to kill any unrealistic expectations about a product.
I've seen it happen many times now over the years, and it's just all too much to be a coincidence.

Honestly I also do fully understand why it would make good business sense to officially leak things.

Think about it for a moment. If you are going to get up on stage, in front of the worlds press, and show off your latest and greatest product. The very last thing you are a company, or person on stage would ever want is for everyone in the room to be disappointed, as one or two unrealistic expectations become so strong that, almost everyone there was expecting "A" and you could only deliver "B"

Sure, silly things, like colours not showing up, or perhaps RAM not being increased would not be a worry, but anything major that's all in the media about it's coming NOW, you would not wish to disappoint on.

So, the most obvious thing is, and this is what happens almost every year.
There ARE some great expectations about a product, and they grow and change over the year, a few BIG ones stick, and stay there till we start getting close to launch day.

Then just a few weeks away, some rumour sites/posts start to kill things off, and we end up pretty much expecting what ends up being shown.

As I say, it makes sense. If anything you want to show MORE than is being expected.
It will interesting to watch over the next few weeks if any of the current expectations mysteriously get killed off prior to launch day.

What do we have so far?

Colours Blue/Black (not that important to worry about killing rumours)
RAM starting at 32GB ? 32/64/128 ?
Dual Camera's (been talked about for almost the whole years now)
Headphone Jack vanishing, everyone is expecting it.
A speaker on the top for stereo in landscape?
Antenna Bands?

The main thing is probably money. So many people are wanting Apple information that people working for them are willing to risk losing their job if you pay them enough. It can be tough to catch who leaks the info as well.

Launches are often on a Tuesday, but that happens to be the 13th in that week. It could just as well be the week of the 19th though, so unless he has inside info, he's got at best a 50-50.

When iPhone announcements moved to Sept starting with the iPhone 5, they've been announced on either a Tuesday or Wednesday of the 2nd full week in Sept. The 19th is in the 3rd week of Sept, so an announcement then is very unlikely.

iPhone 5 = Wed. Sept 12, 2012

iPhone 5S = Tues. Sept 10, 2013

iPhone 6 / 6 plus = Tues. Sept 9, 2014

iPhone 6S / 6S plus = Wed. Sept. 9, 2015

if following previous pattern, event would be on the 13th, preorders on the 16th, release on the 23rd.

Or event will be on Wednesday, Sept. 14th. See above for past Sept announcements.

Evan Blass's prediction isn't noteworthy.

Apple leaking information I believe is intentional. Similar to how someone was able to photograph an Apple employee wearing an Apple Watch In a car before it was released. The mistaken unreleased iPhone left unattended In a bar.

Apple is so secretive and yet, they release information when they WANT to, allowing the public to question the validity of the leak being legitmate and intentional.

Like saying you don't care how your wife looks as long as she makes nice dinners, works, and brings home some money.
Whilst looks are shallow and what "the item" does is what really matters, we are animals driven a LOT by vision.
Online blind relationships are great, and would be nice if done more.
People FORCED to get to know each other by voice/text alone BEFORE you make the shallow decision you don't like them due to their physical appearance which, for the most part they are unable to change.

That's because most guys want a super hot chick and dont care if she works, makes dinner, cleans, brings home money, or if she hangs out with you. She could be the biggest jerk in the world but we will deal with it if she is hot. Just like the iPhone. We just want it to look good.

The android OS doesn't suck at all either btw

People choose their needs as said above

For most people's needs, it sucks, unless you count "the ability to run on a wide variety of hardware" as a need. That's the big reason it's popular.

Most people's needs are to make phone calls; send messages; take pictures; use apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pokemon Go; etc. How is the experience of doing those things or using those apps on an Android device worse than on an iOS device?

A big reason Android is popular is because inexpensive smartphones run it. Not everyone needs (or can afford) a $600+ smartphone.

If the event is that week, I'm guessing pre-orders will also start the same week?

They'll release the Mac Pro on September 32.

If it's anything like their HDMI cables, it'll be less reliable than the ones I buy from Chinese eBay sellers for $1 each.

... Dang. Sorry for three negative comments in a row.

Who are you to tell what other people's needs are?

It doesn't suck at all. In fact Android is what a smartphone should be. Make things exactly how the hell you want it to be. Not be told you can have this but can't do that. Or we will take this away from you because WE THINK you don't need it.

The abilty to download apps that you can't with apple is a huge bonus. Could save most people £50 a month on sports channels alone. Just like if you wanted to download a whole series of a TV show it would cost you over £100 but on android? it's available for free.

Android has easy access to quick view
Widgets for easy access and now with how you can transfer files over, apps, your details and also your photos syncing from one device to another what it provides in that area is no different to the apple way of working. Only thing you miss on android is imessage. That’s really it. The software is a lot better than it was and is getting better and better each passing year.

To say being on android sucks is laughable. All the things you can do on an iphone you can do on any android. You certainly don’t need to worry about the headphone jack either.

Same here. But then I (and no doubt you) have been out of high school for awhile and have a full life.

Since it's not something I show all my friends in an attempt to garner prestige and envy, nor something that makes me feel special and needs to be caressed, as long as it works great, is reliable, has a great camera, is not heavy or bulky, I'm pleased.

In addition, we live in a lavish world where appearance is King. Take a brand new $75,000 Mercedes for example, all it takes is for one not to like the paint color to overall negate and not appreciate the interior, engine, and Car just based off a paint color.

Point is, some can look past physical characteristics and appreciate the internals rather than one 'Camera Bump' or 'Antenna Bands'. It's astounding no one comments on the software/camera improvements, yet there are thousands of comments on how 'Ugly' this iPhone 7 will be. Maybe I am a minority. Launch Day for me.

I completely agree with this, in fact I was beginning to think I was the only one thinking the same thing! It seems people are more interested in having the latest phone as fashion accessory and to show off "look at me I have the iPhone 7 it looks much different from the 6" I think that's the reason why some seem annoyed that there won't be a dramatic design change.
Me I'm happy with the rumours I've heard so far, no doubt there will be other features that will either leak before the event or features that we will see at the event as "surprises" with the photos changes in IOS 10, I think that there will be a focus on camera features, I highly doubt Apple are going to sit back and let Samsung beat them with the low light stuff.

With regards to software I think Apple and IOS are far better than the competition, this is the main reason I stick with an iPhone. The Galaxy Note 7 leaks do look good, and credit where it's due, I think Samsung have made great progress with their Galaxy range since the S6, they have produced great looking phones. Where they fail however is in the software and customer service, which is shockingly bad when compared to Apples customer service.

So yea I'm looking forward to the iPhone 7 and the Apple event where they will announce it :D

And when other companies remove the jack from their flagships?

And if they don't ? This is one major advantage thier phones will have over the Apple flagship , Apple is doing it out of greed, so the over flagship can now ship the 3.5mm as a feature over the iPhone .

Fewer bugs, less lag, more consistent and user-friendly interface, iMessage and FaceTime, often better battery life, no junk added by the manufacturer, safer app store, easier updates, better control over what apps do.

When your number one priority in a phone is the OS and customer service, you will choose an iPhone no matter what. They could Change almost nothing, and if you needed a phone you will buy a new iPhone.

The situation is a lot more interesting for people on the fence though.

One thing I will say, I don't see how Samsung are failing on the software, they have actually listened and got rid of a lot of bloatware. Thier customer service is way behind Apple though.

One thing I don't like though, the ever increasing price of AppleCare, for my iPhone 6s it's now at £110....Apple support is becoming expansive.
