Apple will send out the invitations on Thursday (8/25/16)
take a look:
iPhone 6> Thursday (8/28/14)
iPhone 6s> Thursday (8/27/15)

Ive got my fingers crossed that the event will be either the 6th or 7th of September, I've got that week off work and with the rumours of pre-orders starting on Friday the 9th, it would be great timing for me to pre-order. So yea if they are going to hold the event on either the 6th or 7th, then invites will be sent out this week! Apple always send them out 2 weeks before the event.

My guess is the event will be on the 7th, Preorders on the 9th and iPhone Launch on the 23. The invites should be posted by Friday. See you then.

That will fall in well for my time off work (I've got the 5th - 10th off) and with all the people who are saying they wont be getting the 7, there shouldn't be a problem pre-ordering and getting one for launch day :D

One 4.7 iPhone 7 in Space black or Space Gray or Silver. Can't wait for the Key Note.

Yea, if they really are releasing a Space black version i will probably get that, iPhone 7 Plus here, 128GB which would be a jump up from my current 6 Plus which has 64GB, with 23GB free. I'm thinking with the jump in camera and video from my 6 Plus, those photos and video will take up much more space, especially if the dual camera is added.
I cant wait for the keynote either, looking forward to upgrading from a 6 Plus :D and if they announce the new Macbook Pro's at the same event, well i will be VERY happy :):D

I am upgrading from the SE. I am interested in seeing what the 5.5 Model will offer with the dual camera set up. I'm looking also to purchase the Apple Watch 2 and iPad Pro as well. It's going to be an expensive fall.

The MacBook Pro is the big mystery. I think they will need a separate Key Note for this event. Should be interesting.

It will be interesting, apparently the new iPad Pro wont be announced until next year, so this year what does that leave? Apple Watch 2 and new MacBooks, i cant see Apple just announcing the iPhone 7 at the September event. Maybe we will see iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and MacBooks at the September event? Apple haven't held a October event in a couple of years. Just a guess, i could be completely wrong!

I will be purchasing the 9.7 Pro from the March Key Note event. I definetely think we will see the Apple Watch 2. I think the MacBook Pro will have so much to introduce, it would take longer than an two hour Key Note to discuss the changes, plus add in The iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and any other topics of discussion.

True, maybe they will hold an October event just for Mac's so a smaller event. iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 in September.

One of the Moderators was thinking the MacBook Pro might be available in October from years in the past. No matter what hardware is coming, I have been saving for while now. Apple makes things expensive. I would like a MacBook Pro, but I think it might have to much power for my personal uses. Otherwise, I was considering the 12.9 iPad Pro also. Tough decisions.

Is the iOS 10 final release the week the iPhone is out and not announced? Think it was on previous memory.

The only reason i think they might not do it in October, is because they seemed to have moved away from having and October event. March, June and September seem to be the events now, it use to be June, September and October time. However Apple could also do an October event, it's not completely off the table, especially if they have a few things to show and they don't have enough time in September.

The 12.9" iPad is great, i love mine, but i also love to use a Mac and i'm still using a 2011 Macbook Pro, so I'm looking to update this year maybe, especially if Apple redesign them and add Touch ID as well as the OLED strip that's rumoured.

I believe so yeah, the new iPhones will ship with IOS 10, Apple tends to also talk about more features at the iPhone announcements as well, features that are in IOS that might tie in to new iPhone announcements. Last years 3D Touch for example.

The press event will be sent either this week or the beginning of next week. If history repeats itself, the iPhone event will be held on either the first or second week of September

Reputable leakers have said the 6th or 7th September for the event pre-orders on 9th. So if Apple hold true to form, they will send the invites out this week.

The sooner the iPhone 7 can be put in the rear view mirror the better.
That won't solve anything. As it will only start all over again with iPhone 8. macrumor's recycles old thread posts, just substituting the next iPhone number.

Actually there are only three people on here. I have 87 sign-ins. Many times I wind up talking to myself.
:eek::rolleyes::D
