Maybe so but because of the higher resolution the Sony still Si sharper.

Anyway it looks like the Galaxy S7 still has the best smartphone display on the planet.

I think that really anything over about 400 ppi is unnoticeable, so the fact that Sony has a higher pixel density on their phone doesn't really matter that much in all honesty. I do like the 494 ppi display on my Nexus, but when compared with a 6+, there really is no noticeable difference to my eye.

I will agree that the GS7 has a killer display though. It is best-in-class in nearly every area.

I spent my money on the best.

Too bad is a common occurrence here. Pot/kettle thing. You know.
As Jsameds said its one of the best all round phones but is outclassed in the display department by many flagships and the Galaxy S7 stomps it.And what I am stating are not my opinion. Its factually proven in tests I already linked above

You may feel the iPhone dial,at as the best but that's just tour opinion not fact.My dad sees no difference between the 5c and the 4s in speed.Doesnt make them equally fast
Facts only means something when the numbers support his argument and not the other way around!
I am talking pure facts here.In Anandtech's tests the iPhone 6s display is beaten by the Xperia Z3

Yes, iPhones have more true colors i agree with that. but on resolution. samsung wins

So you're telling me you can see individual pixels on an iPhone screen at a normal viewing distance? Because personally I can't from 6 inches or less. And I don't wear glasses.

If you can't see jaggies on text, etc., resolution is not needing to be increased. All you'll do is burn CPU/GPU, battery and more storage for higher resolution graphics.

Now whether or not the colours are better or not is up for discussion. And that can be measured.

And as to being first. Don't care who comes out with something 'first'. I want the version that works as a complete product.

Believe me I couldn't tell pixels apart earlier either.Thats until I put my iPhone side by side with the Nexus 5 and the GS6.Now I can't "unsee" the slight blur around the letters

As I said I like the iPhone screen the best and that's what I bought. You can't measure subjectivity is my point and Samsung or Sony gets an "attaboy" but not my dollars.

You know what's funny about this screen fiasco? If HTC or Samsung's flagships had 720p they would get bashed and lambasted left and right for cost control, poor screen etc and when Apple does it it doesn't even get much of a mention and iVerge gives the display a 10/10 .

First, "fiasco"? Second, is it know that that's what would actually happen, or are we just talking about speculation (which can be fine, but really doesn't mean much one way or another on its own)?

Man U seem upset. Hey if u prefer the displays on Samsung I won't argue it's your money. But it's not like there's anything wrong with the iPhone display. Point to a supposed biased iPhone review and there's just as many biased android reviews.

Some people are funny. They just can't believe the iPhone sells like it does. Probably going around telling others how great their phone is like the company is paying them.

as Apple is apparently likely to move to glass-on-glass screens, which in turn opens up the possibility of a QHD or even a 4K display.

I'm sure many will disagree but IMO 4K 5" displays are pointless unless you're going to be positioning the display 2" from your eyes for VR or something. In normal use it's overkill, and demands more from the GPU to drive the graphics so expect battery life to take a hit. 1920x1080 or the like is fine for a 5" phone display IMO.
