I can't wait for the iPhone 7. I am so glad that the topics and discussions of the iPhone 7 are now upon us. As soon as Apple begins to fulfill the 6S/6S+ orders; I'm anticipating more discussions on this. I want a design factor that will wow me similar to the wow factor I had when I first saw the 4S. I didn't get that same wow experiences with post 4S reiterations, therefore I am looking forward to DESIGN aspects of the iPhone 7. I also expect 2GB RAM.

Apple used to surprise us. We used to be wowed every few years in an amazing way. Tweaking the specs for camera, resolution, screen size, ect. is not surprising. What would Apple add to iPhone 7 that actually makes us say WOW!

My ideas are:
  1. eInk display on the back of the phone.
  2. No headphone port and free Bluetooth headphones.
  3. Waterproof
  4. Shock resistant
  5. Projector
  6. Affordable smart house devices to pair with phone.
  7. Wireless charging
  8. Touch screen responds to hovering over
Let me know your ideas of REAL surprises.
3, 7 and 8 have been in recent galaxy models and we're generally regarded as gimmicks.. are they now gonna be wow features if big A implements them?

you were wowed by the 4s you say.. did the regular 4 not do it for you lol..

1. I feel like there is no benefit to this.
2. Again, little benefit here IMO
3. You have my approval
4. Do we not effectively have this already?
5. No thank you
6. Define affordable. Define smart house. Tell me why I need this?
7. Absolutely
8. I'd rather be able to use it with a gloved hand like Nokia has done for three years now

Realistically it will have a nice and elegant new form factor.
Most likely thinner and with additional battery life.
Some internal upgrades as far as chip and possibly camera upgrades.
Maybe wireless charging. 32GB base model and getting rid of the 16gb completely would be great.
I don't see waterproofing or headphone removal.
Maybe a new home button that's non-mechanical.

New on iPhone 7:
New form factor
New retina resolution
Screen fingerprint scanning
A10/m10

These are the things that I think will carry over the 7 from the 6s:
2gb ram
12gb rear cam/5gb selfie cam
Rose gold
3d touch

New on iPhone 7s
4gb ram
New color
New camera

Why do so many people want a waterproof option? Is it because you need it or just because you're afraid of dropping it in the toilet? If it's the latter, I don't see any reason for Apple to cater to clumsiness. I can't see any reason to "need" waterproofing but maybe I'm not thinking out all the possibilities.

Have you seen the Samsung Galaxy s6 active? It's fully waterproof, dust proof and shock resistant! Oh yeah and it also looks and feels like a cheap piece of crap kids toy, lol.

with regards the removal of the home button, if you take the g3, g4 etc, largest percentage screen to overall size out there. the front is basically all screen. if you don't know this, it's actually quite an ingenious solution.. the power button and volume buttons are on the back, just where your index finger sits, so you can locate them v easy.. the result is that the edges are v v thin, with a rounded back, it sits v snug in the palm.. and looks nothing like the 5.5in screen it actually is...

I think the reason no one is surprised anymore is because all of the leaks! Literally, every new feature/design of the last iPhones have been leaked weeks/months before the reveal event. So when the event is shown, no ones surprised because we all know what to expect.

That's what I hate anyway. I just think Apple should shut down tight on all info, so it's less likely for leaks, then when the next device is revealed I'll be more surprised and excited as I didn't have any inclinations on my expectations.

water damage is the biggest warenty claim for handsets in the UK, and this doesn't mean dropping them down the toilet.. it's condensation which is the killer, steamy bahrooms probably being the main reason.. the inners corrode...

Don't know how realistic this is, but I want the entire front side to be "all screen." No bezel, no home button, just a lovely curved display.

4GB of RAM? Not gonna happen. We'll have 2GB's for the foreseeable future.

I've had two older iPhones water damaged after being caught out in the rain. After that I switched to a waterproof sony phone, didn't like android so I went back to the iPhone, but I would still like to have it be waterproof so I don't have to worry about any water getting on it.

For the past 7-8 years I had every iPhone and never had any water damage due to condensation.
And my bathroom gets plenty steamy.
The main reason people have liquid damage to their phone is because they get it wet in general various accidents. Not just toilet drops.

I think if they made the 7+ with smaller bezels and more pocketable it would be a sure hit.

Read somewhere the Analyst ming Chi Quo has said it would be thinner next year. Unless he knows someone who has access to the Apple iPhibe 7 blueprints then this could be true

If Apple replaced touchid with Siri voice unlock, I would not buy the phone. Having to say a phrase every single time I unlock my phone would be the biggest PITA on the planet. I would rather use a complex passcode.

The way I imagine it, it wouldn't be a replacement for Touch ID, the same way Touch ID wasn't a replacement for the passcode. Just another option. You could even disable it if you wanted.

If all they did was shrink the bezels I would still be ecstatic. With a case on my 6+ sticks out of my pocket a inch and a half. It makes my note 3 look positively svelte.
