You know what's the sad irony?Got to hand it to that Apple marketing, a lot of people are believing they are getting the best experience by paying the premium price.
Let's not forget Apple only including 1Gig or less of ram on its iDevices for a long, long time. Let's not forget Apple selling only 16GB as the base storage on device able to capture 4K stills and video. I could continue and include the Mac lineup in there too.
Yes, 16GB of base storage and 1Gig of ram equates to a premium device and experience. Don't fool yourself, you are better than this.
That these Apple products continue to offer a better user experience over the rest of the competition, despite the latter having better specs on paper.
Nobody is forcing you to buy a 16 gb iPhone if you know fully well that it won't be sufficient for you.
4 gb of ram on a smartphone evidently doesn't prevent carriers from loading their own bloatware onto them, from blocking software updates, or prevent performance from slowing down six months after use, or guarantee continued support from the parent company. It doesn't ensure silky smooth scrolling or entice developers to release their apps for Android first or exclusively. Nor does it foster a thriving ecosystem of accessories and peripherals.
Where's MagSafe, silky smooth trackpad scrolling and the ability to lift a laptop lid with one finger on Windows laptops? The shenanigans Windows 10 has been pulling so far makes an excellent case for one paying a premium so as not to have to deal with Windows whatsoever.
I know what I am paying for when I buy into the Apple ecosystem. They may have cost me more upfront, but have since more than paid for themselves in the form of greater productivity and fewer problems overall.
That's the premium experience I am getting. An integrated computing experience which just works right out of the box.
