You definitely give me hope! I ordered my phone exactly one hour after the preorders went live. My estimate is also 11/11. I'm hoping that with your PFS, I might get one next week.

First time poster, long time lurker.
I'm in Japan and preordered a 128 GB JB+ on 9/9 about an hour after preorders opened. I should have placed my order online, but I went to a carrier (SoftBank) shop in my town. Everything went smoothly enough, but the staff so far has been reluctant to give me ANY time frame as to when I'll get it. I understand that some people could get pissed off if they're told one thing and then it doesn't happen, it come on! I just want something clearer than "You might have to wait until next year."

I originally wanted the 7 JB but have since convinced myself to get the JB 7+ 256GB and that has become a MAJOR task. I decided not to preorder and instead wait on a store in my area to get one. I am going the IUP route so that has further limited my search zone. UGH. I have had a new iPhone on launch day since the 3G and this has been the most pain in the ass launch ever. I feel for you guys who preordered a while ago. At least some of you are getting them in.
Just saw that too. I don't want to cancel on the chance there is one available but can't reserve one unless I do
I also managed to snag a reservation in Columbus Ohio, got the reservation email too. Hopefully it all works out and I can cancel my order.
I didn't cancel my preorder yet, waiting for the pickup email as well... first and actually having the item in my hand before I cancel my order
Just checked for Verizon and it is available for pick up in my area, have to cancel my order first

How do you do this, it didn't give me an option it said I had a reservation already and had to cancel that one first
That's exactly what I'm planning as well. Once I have it in my hand and I'm walking out of the store then I'll cancel my order. Not one seconds before that moment.
You're on Verizon, you can only order another one if you cancel your previous order because they make you enter your Verizon account info.
Yay!! I just bought one at the South Shore store in MA for pickup tomorrow! And just in time to return my matte black. Ohhhhhh, tomorrow's pickup time cannot come fast enough for me!!!
You know after you reserve for pickup is it 100% for sure they will have the phone for you?
It's not 100% per se, in that an accident could happen. But if no mistakes are made, it is 100% that it will be there for you. Once you reserve it, a unit is taken out of inventory and set aside for you. But there is always the possibility (slim) that an employee will mess up and sell it anyways (or perhaps forget to set it aside in the first place).

I have one reserved for tonight at 6pm too but only got the order confirmation email so far.
