iPhone 7 PLUS Jet Black November Apple.com thread

Why did Apple introduce a product they couldn’t deliver? Ordering minuets after pre ordering comes online, and the fun of being the first one on the block with a new iPhone was killed this year by Apple’s mismanagement. Never again, this Apple Fanboy is truly disgusted.

I feel your pain. I too got up in the middle of the night and was unable to process an order for quite a while as the website was down. Then I got a lousy delivery date. Then was informed the 7+ had shipped!!! But..... it sat in Korea for half a week and Apple gave some BS excuses about weather delays, but they had already charged my credit card. I was on the phone with Apple support and was also given the weather delay crap.... except I'm a pilot and was looking at the same data FedEx uses for their dispatch. The North Pacific was clear of ANY bad weather (which was remarkable). I don't like getting lied to. So I asked to cancel the order and was told it was too late to do so. I would have to take delivery then drive to a store to return it.

Meanwhile, there were folks strolling into stores and picking up 7+ phones. Yes I was pissed.

So, I drove to BestBuy and bought a Samsung Note 7 (with the "safe" battery). Loved that phone. But, we know how that turned out.

So if you can't beat 'em might as well join 'em. Walked in to the Apple Store and walked out with a JB 7+ 256gb.
 
Well I got mine, reserved and picked up this evening, just cancelled my online order. Good luck everyone!
 
Uggg the closest Apple store to me that has a Jet Black iPhone 7+ Verizon 256 GB is 140 miles away!!! The Apple store near me doesn't have it...imagine that.

I agree you with. I woke up
late on preorder day, but ordered within two hours. Doesn't make sense that my delivery date was further than my ability to randomly catch one in store today.
 
You know I expected to hear about a tidal wave of orders going to PFS. It's odd that didn't happen. Anyways, I don't know what I'll do with my life now that I don't have to wait here with you all. I'm sure we'll see each other again though while we wait days upon days upon days upon days for any sign of our Air Pods :)

Finally have a JB phone!

So I was in meetings all morning and couldn't look at phone things at all. Just after lunch I saw a post saying Apple Stores had JB + in stock. Made a quick search while driving and saw only one store in San Francisco had one. Not wanting to make that much of a detour on my way home I thought for sure I'd be screwed out of this lot of phones. Lucky for me I kept looking because at around 2:45PM one became available 20 min from my house. I immediately reserved it, drove there, and within and hours of reserving had the phone in hand and was on my way.

I came from a 6S+ and I'm stoked with the new phone. Feels faster. The best pat is the way it feels in my hand, all naked. No case for this one.

The one negative I have that I may or may not complain about it the sim tray is poking out a tiny bit, almost like a button. I assume because of the polishing they get a variance in the finished thicknesses.

Anyway I'm very happy, like I quit a job I totally hated. While it was fun, good luck to you all. See you in a few months when the 8 is out.

Oh, man!! I'm so jealous of all of y'all that found JB+'s in Apple stores. The closest one to me is about 4 hours away. There is no way I'm making that trip and back with three kids in tow.
I also thought there would be a new wave of pfs statuses..
I'm so tired of Apple ****ing me over with this crap. *sigh*
I'll continue to fake patience some more, I guess.

I can definitely see this happening to me all over again with the Air Pods. I really want to hate Apple with this BS but love all their products too much!! Lol

So true. So many order have been canceled today. You have to move up the list a lot. The guy I canceled with said lots of people are canceling today. I bet tomorrow the cancelations will post and new people will get PFS

I picked mine up at 8pm as stated, did the IUP and i'm on my iPhone :)

I just had to call Apple and cancel my previous online order.
 
Still stuck on processing here. The Nike Watch also on my order has a date of 28th so it looks like that is coming first.

I am dreading ordering the AirPods.

I got my shipped status Thursday night lol I hope you get yours too. Apple really is the only viable option if you want a high quality reliable piece of tech. Their logistics this year however has been really inadequate.. It reminds me of the time I preordered the Nexus 6p. Long two months.

I'm so happy. No more wait and wait :):):)

I got mine this morning through the Reserve & Pick Up. Cancelled my November order immediately.

O.M.G. I managed to reserve a carrier pickup at an Apple store in Sydney and cancel my Telstra order of the iPhone 7+ JB 256, AKA the Unicorn.

Still restoring it from my old setup, but so far I love it. Whats worse is the wife and son upgraded from pre-paid plans onto a contract and both got shiny new iPhone 7's yesterday. Just the standard version and rose gold 128 for the wife and Jet Black 256 for the son

Now to print an iPhone stand for it for beside the bed - thats tomorrows job

I saw that!! I was so tempted to call my brother and have him go pick one up and ship it to Texas for me!!
I would've had a JB by now if I still lived in Miami, lol. How sad that the closest Apple Store for me is in San Antionio, which is almost 4 hours from me.
 
Can we reserve a Verizon and then switched it to att through Apple Store if we do att next. Or do we have to buy it outright?

I'm pretty sure if you want to do that, you'll have to pay for the phone upfront. If it's for Verizon, they won't let you just switch the carrier. But, since Verizon is an unlocked phone that works with all carriers, if bought outright, you can switch it to AT&T.
