iPhone 7 Plus Orders Begin Shipping to Customers

I've been unable to track mine, which is also scheduled for delivery on the 16th (iPhone 7, T-Mobile, 128GB Black) but had been on "Preparing for Shipment" since Friday, so I decided to chat with Apple. This is the uplifting response:
"Everything looks fantastic! Your iPhone is on our docks just waiting to be picked up by the carrier. You can definitely still expect to have it by the 16th"
and:
"You will receive a shipment notification as soon as your order leaves our warehouse; this will include tracking information and a pre-sign form, just in case someone isn't going to be around to sign for it when it's set to arrive."
Just thought it may calm some of you down

I signed up for the "free" version of the UPS MyChoice through the UPS iPhone App. In all honesty, I don't understand what all the features for a UPS membership are and wouldn't ever use the extras...
BUT It did allow me access to the Delivery Planner, which shows tracking numbers.
My iPhone 7 Plus is already in the USA
After quickly moving to the "Preparing for Shipment" stage on Friday, the first wave of iPhone 7 Plus shipments from Apple are now on their way to customers for delivery on Friday, September 16. Apple has not yet officially updated order statuses to "shipping," but a number of customers have found their new devices showing up in their Apple support profiles and in UPS order tracking. We've seen quite a few reports of iPhone 7 Plus orders showing up, but it's not clear if iPhone 7 units are shipping in volume yet.
U.S. customers can try to find their orders by using the "Track by Reference" function on the UPS website and searching with their phone numbers, typically the phone number associated with the Apple ID under which the order was made. The Apple order number minus the last two digits may also work. UPS customers who have My Choice accounts may already see their shipments showing up on their accounts without even needing to search.
The first wave of shipments is scheduled to arrive to customers on Friday, with delivery services holding packages until that date even if they arrive to regional hubs early. It is not unusual, however, for a few packages to slip through and arrive a day ahead of schedule for a handful of lucky customers.

Mine is now in Louisville, Kentucky!! Went from China, to Korea, then Alaska, and now Kentucky. Probably from there they'll send it to Ontario, California. And the delivery day is on Friday!

Same here. The Store app still shows "preparing to ship" but UPS shows it's in Louisville. I was starting to get a little worried.

I'm going insane. This is torture. My unofficial UPS update shows the phone left Shanghai, but my order is still preparing for shipment. How is it supposed to be here by Friday, if I haven't even gotten a shipment notification yet? I mean, come on! I've been without a phone for 3 days now and I'm dying here... "Hello, my name is Karin and I'm a smartphone addict. I haven't had a phone in 3 days. Every once and a while I try to hold my iPad to my ear, but it's just not the same."
Countless people have already stated that a lot of times you won't get notified until the day of if at all. You'll be ok.
Did anyone else have their phone show up in Taiwan today for a Friday delivery? Went from Shenzhen to Hong Kong and just arrived in Taiwan about 2 hours ago.
Interesting to see people have phones in Alaska and Louisville already and mine isnt even on a plane to the US yet.
