this morning Apple has changed the status of my leather case order to shipped.

it is being shipped via DHL Express and will arrive tomorrow - yay.

i ordered through at&t, and it says backordered, however it also says it shipped on the 14th and will be arriving on the 16th and has a tracking number. Interesting how that works

Spoke to T-Mobile executive response today. I had a case with them because an error on their part caused me to have to place my order 12 hours later than originally intended. Due to that, they bumped my order to priority and she assured me that I would get my 7 plus 128gb Black on Friday. She said that the orders will start shipping tomorrow and those of us who will get it on Friday will be getting emails starting tomorrow with tracking numbers.

Every time I try to ask tmobile to make mine priority, because they had an error with mine too, they say it isn't possible. How did you get them to do this?

My phone flew from China to S. Korea to Anchorage Alaska and just now arrived in Louisville, Kentucky and Apple's site still says "Preparing to ship"? Sheesh.

UPS 99
Apples website is slow to update during iPhone release time. I've gotten a "Shipped" update by email around 5am the Friday it was delivered. At this time it was already on the UPS truck for delivery.

Ditto. My Apple delivery date is still the 19th. Wonder if this means I will see it Friday.
If you have a tracking number it WILL deliver on Friday. Congrats!

LOL mine arrived in Louisville last night and Apple still says preparing for shipping.

I think most people would see a ups package in China and think it'll never make it to their house in time. Apple probably doesn't want tons of calls complaining about that so they wait until its basically in your backyard before giving you the tracking number. They guarantee on time delivery.

apple products can and have gotten tied up while in transit. I can't remember if it was phones or watches... but the paperwork was messed up and they sat for days in anchorage! a whole bunch of us thought we were getting our stuff early (not early, before release, but early before estimated delivery) it was horrid! (yes... HORRID! haha!)

Are they leaving Kentucky tonight or tomorrow? I get they usually have this quite under control but many people change their shipping preferences, delivery addresses, or pick ups, which because Apple waits till the last second don't get seen or approved literally hours before Friday morning. I feel like they should leave at least a day for that sort of thing

This is just a minor speedbump for UPS. Everything will be fine.

Probably both. Some will leave tonight and some tomorrow.

Most likely tomorrow night. It only takes them one night (think overnight express!).

I guarantee the black one has shipped...not the jet black. Is there a weight on the package?

Here is the shipping confirmation for my wife's jet black i7 regular 128gb. It left Incheon already, so that pretty much means it shipped, i assume. We are both on Verizon.

Remember, they are 12 hours ahead at least, so 4-5 am, so it probably shipped out of inches in the last few hours.

Question... do you have to be present in person for the phone to be delivered, or will they leave it at the door or with an apartment office? i work all day Friday and am worried that my phone will end up back on the truck Friday night, and I'm out of the house again most of Saturday...

Apple sends them signature required. You can sign a release and UPS may or may not leave it...
