I'm thinking exactly the same thing, and with the dual lens camera on the 7 Plus, it will probably take up more storage per photo.
Are you opting for the 4.7 or 5.5 iPhone? I'm not quite sure yet, as I will let the Keynote to make my decision.

Welcome to the world of modern consumerism, it's been like this all along. So they can sell the new Apple TV with 4k support. That's what Apple has been doing the past years. Give you just enough to stay on the top but never enough that you dont need to upgrade for 5 years. Remember how long iPhones had 1 GB of Ram when everyone else had 2-4 or sometimes even 6 gig (with worse performance i might add).
I don't know about 6S users but this is shaping up to be a great upgrade for those of us on the 6 or below.
I've got an iPhone 6 but I have no desire to upgrade to this whatsoever.

Lots of people saying that even the 6S is worth an upgrade from the 6 after using it. Another generation later even more so. There will be hundreds of tiny improvements here and there that you won't know about by looking at spec sheets but only by using the device itself, so don't count yourself out yet.
The SE is already here......
And it comes with a magical feature - a dedicated headphone socket!
I hope that's a s/w upgrade. Not that my TV does 4k anywayI think we can expect an updated version of AppleTV with 4K support this fall.
It doesn't make sense to sell iPhones capable of shooting 4K video and not being able to play them on the Apple TV.
And what about the 7+? 2 sensors, so 8k at 60fps? Or 4k at 120fps?
That would really keep the competition busy for at least a year.
It would be the 64 bit soc story all over again.
Now to have something that can display that content...
1 question. If you played something like Pokémon that uses realtime video, would it be smoother and less grainy at 4k 60fps on-screen?
The 4k 60 fps, could it be Apple made it possible to enhance AR on the iphone 7?
And yet, Apple's recently released Apple TV cannot play back 4K video ... and most of their macs have integrated video cards incapable of properly editing 4K video.

Not to mention that users previously on the 64 gb model will likely upgrade to the 128 gb version rather than downgrade to the 32 gb one.
More profits for Apple.
Can someone explain to me what is the use of 60fps, please?
Cinema format is 24fps, TV is 30fps in US and 25fps in Europe
48fps on Hobbit wasn't really well received so that only reason for 60fps I see is to have slow motion effect in which 60fps doesn't really give you that much slow motion anyway.
So, what is the real and true benefit to someone wanting to shoot 60fps? Cinema was on 24fps for ages and apparently there was always reason for it so what am I missing?
