Ok, I'll disregard whatever you have to say as well. Guessing you're a fanboy who can't deal with criticism of his favorite smartphone.

anyone who buys this to shoot a bunch of 4K video and goes with 32GB only has their self to blame.

Generally manufacturers don't offer features that their product cannot realistically use.

64GB is fine for some 4K video. Figure 25GB for non-video storage (assuming a tiny iTunes library and few photos). With the OS that leaves about 35GB free. At 700mb/min that is 51 min. of 4K 60 fps video, so figure a good 45 min without running dangerously low on free space. Not bad if it were the base model.

32GB? That leaves maybe 5GB free (being generous). So about 7 minutes of 4K 60 fps.

Most people (i.e., non-fanboys) would consider it to be false advertising if Apple includes the 4K60 option on 32GB iPhones. It would be like offering AWD on a CUV but adding, in fine print, "without heavy duty transmission cooler the AWD only works for about 10 miles."

Sort of makes me wonder about the veracity of the 4K 60fps rumor.

Well not everyone will have only 5GB available. If you just shoot short clips (which many do) and then put them in the cloud or hard drive at the end of the day, it could work. I agree, though, that 32GB is generally not going to be enough space for 4K, and if Apple were ditching 16GB and going straight to 64 followed by 128 & 256 it would've been a slam dunk (and likely met by thunderous applause at the keynote tomorrow). It seems like whenever they change the base storage they always remove the "happy medium" tier. At least 16GB is finally being retired.

dat camera bump, they can't fix its design
Sales figures and research may have given apple the impression that the vast majority don't care about a camera bump, because: either people use a case or they just don't care.
I know nobody who cares about the bump.

I don't use 4K video recording at all...maybe in another couple years...waste of a feature when few will actually use it.
A "waste of a feature" - what does actually that mean?
AFAIK there isn't a limit on the number of features allowed, or?
Or do you mean apple should have spent their time working on something more useful to more people?

One thing that suck is all that great video quality and bye bye 3,5mm mic input.
Lightning mics costs a lot more and don´t really work with other stuff..

Would your mic work with the adapter expected to be revealed tomorrow?
Or might this adapter only work in one direction?
I suppose it should work since the new lightning earbuds would be used for speech too.
(I know nobody knows the answer, just thinking aloud...)

This is all well and good, but I'd rather get 1080/240fps as I always find 720/240fps videos to be quite blurry and grainy.

I'm look for 480+fps personally. I want to slow down a speeding bullet. 240 lets me see a glimpse of a 1oz shotgun slug

I'm wondering the same thing with my lightning mic. If I'm using the mic as a field recorder or external audio for another camera I want to be able to monitor the input with my headphones. Last time I checked, Bluetooth still has latency issues, so that's not a great option. Perhaps Apple will have worked some low latency magic with Bluetooth on the new iPhone and/or their air pods. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Part of me is still hoping Apple just moved the headphone jack to the top of the iPhone ;).

Yea, i like my 6 Plus it's a great device with brilliant battery life. And if the 5.5" Plus model get's a dual lens camera, it will be a great extra feature! obviously we will have to wait and see what Apple announces at the keynote tomorrow, but a dual lens camera has been rumoured for a while, it has also leaked a few times as well. It's going to be more about what the dual lens can do and what Apple will do with it. I'm looking forward to the keynote tomorrow! Are you not a fan of the bigger 5.5" Plus versions?

The 5.5 iPhone has proven to large for my hands. Although the 1080 Screen and landscape/portrait mode is nice to have as well. I will most likely opt for the 4.7 iPhone. Which model do you want? Are you preordering?

The 5.5 model suits me well i have big hands (6 foot 4) but this time i am going for regular version just to test how it feels as i have skipped both regular 6 series

Yea I shall be pre-ordering, at the moment I want to get the 7 Plus, piano black, 128GB. However if Apple end up keeping the same prices as last year, and the 256GB ends up the same price as the 128GB from last year, then I might pick that one up.

If this phone sucks as much as I think it might, I'm buying a budget SE to replace my 6+. It functions way faster and is much easier to hold. I'll wait for the redesign in the 8.

Not true. There's plenty of films to buy, download and steam on VIMEO. I've bought 10 surf, skateboarding & skiing films this year. Orchard Media supply a lot of extreme sport films in 4K. Just because iTunes does not offer 4K does not mean that the rest do not! I never buy from iTunes now as I prefer DRM Free films.

10 niche videos and let's be honest niche categories. You are not getting it, this does not fuel the 4K potential. It's simply not there. Orchard media. Come on, that's ridiculous.

You are the one talking about ITunes, I've never used it.

No physical home button would be good. That would finally eliminate that weak spot in the glass beneath the hope button I've seen cracked on so many phones over the years.

My iPhone SE can record 1080p at 120FPS with the MoviePro app. My iPhone 6 could also do what I *think* was 3K video at 30FPS before an update to the app killed that.

Straight from the Tech Spec section... no 60fps 4K
Video Recording
  • 4K video recording at 30 fps
  • 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps or 60 fps
  • 720p HD video recording at 30 fps

Glad I waited on the Apple Watch! All the upgrades sound fantastic. (And I guess even the "first" Apple watch will actually be upgraded too.)

The iPhone 7 looks predictably great, though the 6s is more than overkill for me. If my 5s hadn't died, I'd still be using it. Waterproofing's the best feature!

<<<Why did Apple remove the 3.5mm headphone jack? Schiller says "courage." "Courage to move on.">>>

This is the lamest "feature". Apple keeps acting like removing features is "courageous".

Lame, but I'd still buy a 7 or an SE over a 6s now.
[doublepost=1473275733][/doublepost]
The SE is already here......

And it comes with a magical feature - a dedicated headphone socket!

Yeah, SE is fantastic. Cheapest ever current-gen iPhone (although about it not be current gen, but STILL it'll be $150 cheaper than the typical year old hardware).

Only must have feature for me that the 7 has is waterproofing. I did get a 6s just because I use remote desktop on my phone, and figured that would work better with the larger screen :-/
