There are too many set up screens in the current iOS. It used to be so simple, straightforward and fast to set up.

Whatever happened to it "just works"? Today it works, but only after a big quiz.

It's so annoying to me how entitled and spoiled some Apple users are. They want more and more features but yet don't want to set any of them up, they want everything to just magically know your preferences and how you want your phone to operate. Seriously, come on.

still on the edge wich one to chose. so annoying how everyone recommends the matte black..

Everyone recommends the matte because they assume that the majority of users won't take special care of their phones and that most people will be frustrated to see it all scratched up. I suggest you take whichever you like better or wait a couple of days to read impressions from the people that already have them and then decide.

You realize that everyone would complain either way, right? There's people like you and then there's the people who want to be able to customize things. I'll accept the Touch ID setup t save myself from putting in a passcode every time. Maybe the default click isn't my favorite. Who knows, but why complain?
If you don't like the default click, go into settings and change it. Apple needs to make a stand on what features its products offer as default. Simple features should be set up from the get go. If users don't like them, then change them in settings.

Dude, you got by 10 years ago standards a "super computer"... in your freagin' pocket! Cheer up, smile, be happy.
Happy and cheerful here!

Yeah apparently the actual market does not agree and has none of these overly obsessive compulsive panics over keeping their phone pristine, because jet black is sold out and will be impossible to get tomorrow.

Yea well my JB is scheduled for oct 11-17th. So I have some days left before they prepare it for shipment. Matte black seems to have reasonable shipping times in Germany still, in case I reconsider.

Yeah, it's amazing. Imagine being so put out having to make a click strength choice. And then complaining about it. Which took more time than having to make the choice. Sheesh...

Some people can only find happiness in life complaining about the little stuff. Apparently that empowers.

I have had a black iPhone every generation, no matter what colors Apple releases or cuts.
No worries about scratches, glossy vs. matte etc.etc.

The secret is to just buy a black case.

"have completely sold out ahead of Friday's launch and will not be available at Apple's retail stores for walk-in customers." There is one lone guy in a chair by the local store. He is going to be bummed when he finds out about this.

How is it different from the vibration which many android phones make when pressing the capacitive buttons at the bottom like "back" etc?

If going with no case do you use anything? A skin etc? If so which do you recommend please.

Also if you don't have skin or a case surely it must be scratched after a year of use? or are you not bothered either way?

Thanks
I run my 6s naked and it doesn't have a single scratch on the aluminum surface.

In that case, why not list every setting option and get a response from the user for each one.

Apple's job is to make simple software and hardware. When it starts asking users lots of questions, then it misses the mark entirely. Touch ID being one question that is necessary.

I have to ask myself; what state will those jet black phones be in the Apple Stores‽ You think the iPhone 6 Plus bending became a thing.. this will be loads worse!

I'd totally go with the lightest respone. Heck I'd turn it off if I could.
Thanks for sharing.

If you're very careful with your phone, eg. careful not to slide it over a rough surface and always put it in a separate pocket, (obviously not drop it) it won't have any scratches. I've had my 6S+ for almost a year and it has no marks whatsoever.
Liar ;)
