Agreed. I love iOS and have had an iPhone since 3G. It's just getting really tiring waiting for the kind of innovation that used to drive Apple forward....the explosions aren't the worst part. That it runs the mess that's Android is.

This doesnt change the fact that sales declined.Profits were increased because of higher prices to compensate.Also I was planning on getting the Pixel at one point but because of money spent on the Apple Watch and all of my Mac hardware it was difficult to forgo all that.The 7 costed me almost $100 more and they gave me 32gb for what they used to sell 64.You can only increase the prices for so much to compensate thoughA product with sky high margins is useless if nobody will buy them. And enough people voted with their wallets to allow the iPhone to siphon anywhere from 91% to 104% of the industry's profits.
I won't try to convince you why the iPhone is worth your time, because you know your needs best. You buy the phone you want, we do likewise, and we will let the market speak for itself.

Why not? I never believed this 10th anniversary crap, as if Apple would target innovation specifically for a meaningless timespan. This is finally a believable rumor, minus the new color option. If Apple do bring out an anniversary phone, it will be a special edition that is sold at a price that is even more ludicrous than the current iPhones.
No, even Apple's special editions are meant to be bought by millions and can't be completely different, because that would mean building new factories. Think about the Jet Black iPhone which starts with 128GB minimum for $100 more, that's their special edition to drive up the average selling price.
