In the past when I did store pick up you needed to be there for the time of your pickup. They don't hold phones, but will know how many have be pre sold and will have your phone, but they won't hold it all day.
Not sure what happens if you miss your window (probably depends of how. Yay it is - hah!) but your window is your window regardless of any line.

I really don't think this is right. You paid for it. You might have an inconvenient wait to get it but it's your item that they've got.
The iPhone X has a display area of about 12.5 sq inches due to relatively narrow display and notch.
The iPhone Plus series display is 12.9 sq inches.

Nope. Not what I mean. Tim Cook hasn't yet been to China over the years because of iPhone X sales. And you should take a closer look at the product development timelines before you decide that Apple copied Samsung's small bezels. If you'd said that Apple made bigger iPhone's because of Samsung's success with them, I'd probably have agreed.
And how precisely is Apple banning anyone from selling a phone in the US? I'd love to see that reference.

I order an iPhone 8 in space grey. Currently on a 6, so this feels like a good upgrade for me.
I like the X but the higher price and notch that I can’t seem to embrace put me off. I figure by the time this iPhone 8 gets old that the X design will have moved to the bottom of the iPhone line and hopefully they stop embracing the notch in apps.

I wouldn't worry too much. Just get there a couple of minutes before your pickup window and let someone with an Apple shirt know you're there. If there's a line it'll either be for people hoping to buy on the spot (glwt) or waiting for their pickup window and they'll grab you when you're up.

Not exactly. In that case I'd hate to be a car passenger or on a bus with iOS 11. You're thinking of Do Not Disturb, an optional safety feature that disables notifications and auto replies to messages while you're driving.
Ordered an 8 plus though the iPhone upgrade program - ordered the sim free option, or intended to anyway.
Through the app - it said something about having to check with your carrier during pre approval.
It now says that I am being shipped the phone - but it's listed as a VZW phone and I'm being charged a $30 upgrade fee. Did something get goofed?
