iPhone 8 Concepts and Mockups - Part 2

It's unlikely they'd break their 'S' cycle. If they don't, they'll hopefully release this new iPhone along with the 7S at a higher price. I'll try to keep my hopes modest and see what happens. It's difficult not to be excited, though! :)

Haha, now that you mention it, there are a lot of rumors on this site and no hint as to why that is. This is probably one of the worst video hosting sites I've used—it's just a collection of rumors and a forum! WTF was the thought behind your site, MacRumors?

I like the design of the iPhone X, the 7 looks outdated next to it. Hope iOS 11 will bring a bigger jump. Now we have the new Apple file format I hope we'll see some kind of file management too across the devices.

As long as it has an ample number of emojis and is easy to take great selfies with they will sell a bunch of them

It would be wiser for Apple to drop the prices of their 7s and 7s plus and introduce the iPhone X for the same price as the 7 is today. They would still collect an obscene number of profit from it and it would help to turn the tide in china and possible Android converts.

Hahaha! Yeah right. We'll be surprised if Apple bothers to include wireless charging this time.

Now, now. Can't have people customizing their Apple UX, that would be imply Apple doesn't know better than us what the best browser and email client are. What's next? Letting you remove Music completely from the phone and stick Spotify in its place?

That's why they're just designers who come up with fantastical versions of iToys that get featured on rumors sites on slow news days, instead being the ones who play a role in the real thing at Apple.

Sigh.. it'll NEVER be the same size as the iPhone 7 as portrayed in these mock ups, it will be longer or wider. And as for no bezels at all.. we'll get used to the idea of hunky chunky protection cases because one drop of it and smash!!! It's not as though the iPhone glass doesn't smash as it is, is Apple really going to make it even worst?

Mockups are fun, but rarely have any strong relevance to Apple's finished product.

Remember that deep, deep, cobalt blue mockup from last year? :eek:

Cannot wait for this fall. :cool:

Presumably that's aesthetics for the home screen. But when you're in an app like Youtube or Safari, it's full screen and immersive until you swipe to bring up the home button again.

To be honest: I wish Apple would hire the designer of the iPhone X. It has been proven with the iPhone 7 and the MacBook Pro ergonomic touchbar disaster that Apple is in much need of ideas.
 
Man, these fantasy iPhone rumors are prime foder for setting up disappointment when the iPhone 7S drops later this year with upgraded specs.
 
If this really happens then it won't be long before every screen with a bezel looks like those old monitors, before every monitor became flat screen.
 
The big bezels are covered with glass today. So no bezels means less black on the sides. It will have the same danger of breaking the glass. I personally would love to see the bezels go. It gives the phone a much needed modern appearance.

I hope the virtual home button can disappear to allow more viewable area when watching video or with other content that does not use touch in that space. You'll get to know where it is from experience. Doesn't mean it has to be shown all the time.

I have a friend with a Galaxy S6 and the image retention on the OLED screen is unbelievably bad. You can see the Google search box from the middle of the home screen as clear as day in every app. It makes me nervous for this new iPhone. As great as I am sure it will look out of the box. Hopefully some major advances have been made in OLED tech in the last couple of years.

that would be the dream - spotify , alexa, gmail, etc. come on apple. let us own our own experience
