Well it's 6:55 EST here and I can preorder an iPhone 8 plus, unlocked for delivery in a week or just over a week depending on color and capacity. That tells me everyone is going for the iPhone X in about a month.

And they will be coming back once they realize the X is not usable with one hand. Reachability is gone and they moved the control center gesture to the very top. 🙄

I wouldn't say flopping but there's little differences between the 7 and couple that with the fact they're still selling the 7, its the perfect recipe for a lower rollout

Seems like it. Cause it only shows 1-2 weeks. And I was going to pre order but now I think I’ll just go in store and buy 8 plus. And then next month buy. iPhone X

Yes, it is a flop. There are plenty of people in denial in the comments on the thread in the main page, but the numbers don't lie.

Nope. It’s just the demographic of folks who post on here or who will get up in the middle of the night to order a phone is exactly the same demographic that only wants the latest/greatest.
Save your hyperbole for the 24-news networks & stop to think before posting.
Its not an upgrade for those on 6S Plus and definitely not an upgrade for those on the 7 Plus so obviously the response will be muted.

Do you know the sales numbers or how much stock is available for launch?
Crazy backorders = Apple ****ed up supply or understocked intentionally for hype.
Reasonable ship times = the phone is a flop.
In situations like this, Apple literally can't win. No matter what happens people will interpret it as a failure.

How does being back ordered 1-2 weeks mean something is a flop? Also I’ve nevet had an issue ordering the phone I want on pre-order day.
To think that some of these preordered 8 will be returned in 14 days... smells like flop to me too.
Wrong. Apple iPhone 8 launched at 5pm in Australia. No slip in shipping times in Australia. It's a flop. Everyone's waiting for the X.

I just looked and I was able to get a model on release day. its definitely not selling as fast as prior models.

I'm hearing the sales are exceeding expectations. The fact there are already shipping delays for popular models of phones that are not the flagship model this year is amazing.

I think Apple may have shoot themselves in the foot, there is no flagship iPhone anymore: the iPhone 7s (aka 8) isn't the latest and greatest, and iPhone X is a niche product due to the price, controversy and limited stock.
