Lol these analysts are ridiculous!its inclusion "depends on the progress" Apple engineers make integrating it into the iPhone
Yep. Seems that way. These analysts must be fun at parties. Sorry, that's such an overdone snark, but every day these analysts are pooping on the parade. I am starting to see why Tim Cook is always out in public being such a "OMG, this is, like, the best iPhone ever!" ray of sunshine. Somebody has to poop yellow jellybeans back at all those dyspeptic analysts.Lol these analysts are ridiculous!
So we already have rumors about problems with the OLED displays, TouchID, wireless charging, 3D sensors on the front and now the laser system on the back?
So according to analysts, there are problems with every single feature of the new iPhone?![]()
They're rumors, not fact. The rumors surrounding this phone are all over the place. Makes me wonder if Apple's design teams are even focused. Seems like they're just a bunch of guys with ADD.

Do you understand that you're complaining about a rendering based on some leaked parts alleged to be for an iPhone, which may or may not actually be for the actual released iPhone, and if they are, may not fit together in the way people are depicting. Much more productive to wait until the next iPhone is actually unveiled before complaining too much. The bump on the back where the camera is housed is just horrible. I swear it looks thicker. At least with the last model they tried to make it less obvious.
You're funny. Why would you want to keep an older iPhone thats been left behind with less secure operating systems? Also, I've been having to use an iPhone 5 and the battery is fried (won't keep a charge) and the charging port will hardly ever register the charger.Guess what, after the iPhone 8 is released, we are going to: eat, sleep, defecate just the same and there will be another one next year and our lives are not going to be dramatically improved by it. But guess what, Apple will get more money, Tim, Angela, Eddy, Jony, Craig will get a raise. Seriously, if you have an iPhone 7, 6s, 6, 5s, 5, keep it and save the money until 2020. Only people should be upgrading are 2g, 3g, 3gs, 4 and 4s.
I expect the probability of a Lasergate class action lawsuit has fairly little relationship to whether there's actually a laser causing a problem or not.Just a wild guess, but Apple may have checked into this a little.
I don't expect Lasergate to happen!
You do know that every single year the iPhone's design and most features are leaked and well known before the release right? They're rumors, not fact.
My estimate is that 98% of the rumors published on this site are incorrect in a significantly factual/feature or time-based way.
It's not really the Apple engineering team that has ADD, it's the authors of the rumors. That's not surprising considering the provenance of most of these speculations.
Even the "fairly reliable" rumormongers don't even have a 50-50 record.
Jeez, do you think they may have already thought about that little nugget of wisdom that you just presented?Lasers are unsafe if the beams enter the eyes.
It takes 7 minutes one-way so you're looking at 14 minutes, but the power of the emited light from the iPhone...If pointing it at the sun, will I need to let it focus for 4 minutes for the light to hit the sun and bounce back?![]()
The camera module will protrude due to physics. They can't make the modules physically thinner without severe degradation of image quality currently. Moreover, the protrusion is the intelligent design because in order to have no protrusion the device would have to be about 8.3mm thick, which while you may think is nominal and of absolutely no concern to you, if you actually held such a device you'd immediately want the thinner device back, protrusion and all.The bump on the back where the camera is housed is just horrible. I swear it looks thicker. At least with the last model they tried to make it less obvious. Also the front looks ugly with the earpiece/camera bit sticking out. Although I will never move to Android, the Samsung S8 looks so much nicer than this. I'll be hitting up the 7s Plus when it's released.
Haha 14 minutes.. better be best photo everIt takes 7 minutes one-way so you're looking at 14 minutes, but the power of the emited light from the iPhone...

Secondly, a little explanation to ease your mind about the display cutout at the top of the 2017 iPhone:
That top portion of the display will be black, always. Period. The cutout will blend into the perfect black OLED display, and you will virtually never see the cutout unless you are in the perfect light and angle. I personally believe Apple will have made the black bezel try to blend with the display blackness as much as possible, therefore a comparison to the relative ease of discerning the display vs the bezel in the Apple Watch, is not a comparison worth making.
The iPhone will look like one of these two mockups someone made: keep in mind that the top left and right corners beside the cutout will be used for dynamic info/touch zones and the bottom black bar will be the Home Bar which acts as the Home Buttonand dynamic touch zones/info akin to the Touchbar on the MacBook Pro.

tell this to the tens of millions of people still on windows xp lolYou're funny. Why would you want to keep an older iPhone thats been left behind with less secure operating systems?
