just hope the wireless charging apple come out with will have a stand that stays up and not flat.
And in other news, water is still wet and I am going to keep enjoying my iPhone 7.
How's being stuck in 2008 working out for ya?
I used to help develop third party software for Android. I love Android and I've switched back and forth from iOS and Android since the iPhone 4s was out. The reason for my latest switch to iPhone was because at the time, I was dealing with my Note 7 BS and my two S7 edges that were complete failures (they might have been refurbs), I wasnt impressed with any hardware that was out in the Android world. HTC hasnt been impressive since the M7, LG was heading the wrong direction with their cheap feel and modular gimicks, the Pixel and its vanilla feel were as boring as iOS, and Samsung was obviously not impressing me with the fiasco I went through.
This next iPhone will determine what I do. Whether I stay in the iOS market is riding on how impressive this phone is. I dont care about cost like most people because of the carrier financing and I have Sprint's iPhone for life plan. If its a dud then I am almost certain I'll be packing the LG G6 around next year. As impressive as the S8 looks, I cant go back to Samsung after my experiences with their hardware. The G6 looks incredible and IMO its a huge step forward for LG.
Yes Samsung has that futuristic exploding battery thing down pat![]()
A couple of lithium batterybfires iutntens of millions is the same as a world wide recall and aircraft ban. who is drinking what and from what cup?Fair enough.
I haven't looked into any other brand's hardware because my Sammies have been working flawlessly, but I understand.
All things considered, I just cannot use iOS. Too limited for me.
And I also use the hardware features Sammy provides quite regularly, so it's not just iOS itself.
The truth is that I'm frustrated that Apple is so hard-headed and slow in implementing features that already exist in Android-land.
I would love to have the built-in integration with my Macs, but not having that is not a deal-breaker. Everything else is.

So does Apple:

Might be good for you to put the plastic cup down.

All li-ion batteries are prone to explosion or fire, that's the nature of the beast. No question Sammy screwed up the Note 7. Just saying that problems with batteries are not unique to Samsung, despite their very, very public failure.
Apple is not immune to this.
It is certainly not a reason to suspect that this'll will happen every time, with all their products.
I choose Sammy because of (what and how) I can do with the devices they sell, not brand loyalty.
By comparison, Apple (mobile) devices are too limited for my taste. Wish they weren't, but that's up to Apple to improve the user-experience they tout so loudly, in botht the hardware and software sides.
Thus, I at least look and smell in my cup before I drink out of it to see it it tastes funny.

Whatever phone you choose you should like and should purchase because of YOUR reasons. Whether it's the antenna lines, brand loyalty, finger print reader placement, it's your own business why you bought a specific phone.
