Well in fairness i can ask him or anyone here anytime any questions concerns i have. If he is buying 128 GB that's fine i Get it.

Didn't his Post already state he would already purchase the 128 GB if necessary? It appears you didn't read the post or chose to deliberately ignore what he said.

Also, there is nothing "Fair" about making claims that you regularly make without facts. Those are known as assertions. Significant difference between the two.

You don't understand how markets and business works then... and I have an android thanks, had several actually. You know you ARE ALLOWED to actually criticise a company AND use its products.. it's not illegal...

Yeah, let's just agree that someone here doesn't understand how markets and business works.

P.S. Criticism is fine, but only if it is informed.

it's funny how people are losing their minds over Apple pricing the next iPhone at around £1000, it's pretty obvious that Apple knows there are people who won't pay that kind of money for the iPhone 8, hence why there will be a 7s and 7s Plus. It's the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and this 8/Edition/X is going to be their way of commemorating that.
You don't realise what this means. With the iPad we were getting regular updates at the $499 pricepoint. Than Apple started offering those very same upgrades using the Pro moniker at for $150 more. The iPad Air lineup is now stagnated. The iPad 2017 is actually an inferior model to the iPad Air 2 in some respects like the display. If this $1000 iPhone is the iPhone Pro, the 7S and 7S Plus lineup will just get incremental spec bumps eery year while you have to shell out a grand for the real upgrades

That's not the case at all, the iPad 2017 is still a great iPad for most people who just need an iPad for watching and consuming content,The iPad Pro is for more professional users such as artists and so on, the reason the screen is better in the new iPad Pro is to make it better for use with the Apple Pencil (hence the 120hz screen) such as drawing and taking notes. That's not to say that you can't use an iPad Pro for watching content, I use mine for a lot of different things. The iPad 2017 and the iPad Pro are two separate areas.

The point is that Apple stopped updating these consumption iPads after 2014. The iPad 2017 actually has an inferior display to the Air 2.

I disagree that the 120hz is just for professional use. The scrolling performace everywhere is butter smooth ofr daily use and now my 7 Plus is starting to feel laggy.

I bought my iPad Pro 12.9 just for consumption and its a stellar device for that. However the 10.5 iPad minus the Apple Pencil should have been $499 based on past standards

I think as long as Apple put some effort into the 7S then it won't be such a big deal. If it's the fourth iPhone 6 in a row with a slightly faster processor and a glass back, then it's going to piss the vast majority of iPhone users off IMO. The iPhone 8 isn't on a lot of people's radar due to cost so the 7S is what a lot of people will determine as the new iPhone. The pressure is on Apple to satisfy both markets next week.

I quite agree. I bought a 2017 iPad last week and wasn't in the least bit interested in the Pro. I watch Netflix, surf the net, and do social media. It was 40 quid cheaper than my 2013 iPad Air and the fact they have the same screen is irrelevant. The screen is plenty good enough for its size.

So Apple is rich due to massive mark ups, it's controlled it's market for years hence why it is rich with massive mark ups and small model range, but you from what I read don't believe that? That's what I'm taking from your posts.

I'd go £1100 for the 256GB version, or cheaper for a 64GB version. There's no way I'm paying more than £1100 for a phone either, and I don't think Apple is going to release something as expensive as that. People call Apple for their prices, but they're always trying to minimise costs without minimising functionality / quality. I'd be surprised if we have an iPhone 8 that doesn't have a sub-£1000 price. I'm expecting £995 for 128GB at most - and I'd be surprised by that.

£895 would be believable and acceptable. £995 would be alarming. Post-£1000 and people won't be buying.

I agree- people are getting carried away in this thread. Features aside I can't imagine the general public running to throw down £1000+ on a phone that barely looks any different to models released in the last couple of years.

Let me ask you a question: how does Apple, in your opinion, "control it's market"?

The 4 year old iPad Air 2 has a better screen than the iPad 2017

I don't see them starting at 64gb for a "pro" phone. It better be at least 128gb especially for a phone that shoots 4K video at 60fps.
