Does anybody else think that these guys do not want a phone and are just homeless people having a laugh? The only people more moronic are the people that actually got venomous over this. LOL

Face it. He's a clown, I'm a clown and your a clown. As the world turns...

You guys seriously should stop harassing "both" of them.

More power to them if they want to do it.

I'm not defending them, it's just humorous how 80% of you are talking **** about 2 random guys you don't know, and judging them on your looks.

Flame me for this. Careface = -_-

Packer, 40, of Huntington, N.Y., arrives early to media events. His latest accomplishment: being 15th in line in Washington, D.C., to pay his respects to former President Ronald Reagan. "I'm the best person to come to — anywhere," says Packer. "I always give time, and I always have an answer."

He's also on Wiki

Greg Packer (born December 18, 1963), an American highway maintenance worker from Huntington, New York, has been quoted in more than 100 articles and television broadcasts as a member of the public (that is, a person on the street rather than a newsmaker or expert).

I'd say he was way too late there - the poor bloke he'd come to visit was dead :D

A first!?

Oh my goodness, this is a first of firsts. Never in the history of electronics have people waited 4 days in advance for a what is essentially a cellphone. Wow... it had to take apple to do it. This show of "I got to have it", rivals video game consoles and is an indicator of just how apple will do in the market.

People are sick of of the watered down palms, nokias, motorolas, etc. With the iphone you get something that is truly revolutionary, I know you could do many of the things it does on other phones, just like you could play music on many other pmps, but apple just makes it so much slicker and easier.

And with the iphone you essentially get the same philosophy apple applies to its computers. Ease of use and upgradeable through software. Tell me when was the last time you upgraded your treo 650....apart from the patches that fix volume or bluetooth connectivity :)

"And what does this do for the Mac user's image then?"

Macs Are So User Friendly Even Paris Can Use One!

But really, he got on the front page of MacRumors and we are talking about him - the attention that he wants.

Isn't there some other famous guy that was 1st in line for the XBox, XB360, PS3 and Wii?

The Irony

I'm amazed for two reasons: that anyone who can sit on a sidewalk for a week waiting for the launch of a phone

a. has a job and can afford to buy one of these things
b. has any friends to actually call once he has one
