I'm kicking myself for not getting one in hot pink when I had the chance

All the stores in my area (San Francisco) only had black bumpers
 
Pixelskin "HD" - Just wanted to point out...

The Speck case that they offered and I ordered is the Pixelskin HD, not the regular Pixelskin. There IS a difference and it doesn't look as bumpy and "tire-like" as the regular one. I noticed in your poll you left out HD, but that is the one they are offering.

it is speck Pixelskin HD every one voting also, it is just that the wording HD is left out in the vote list.

two cases from speck one is black tartan and another is HD. only two.
 
My Choice....speck Pixelskin Hd Iphone 4 - Black-zml

If you watch the video on this case you will see (for most) it's the best case for free you can find for the iphone 4 Case Program from Apple.
I have tried the bumper when I first got my iphone 4 and I have to tell you, it doesn't feel right.. When you are holding it in your hand, the grip on side is good but never really feels like the phone is solid in your hand. Has anyone else experienced this with bumper ? In fact that is why I returned the bumper. It's not a good choice for the iphone 4 in my option. It doesn't do anything special for the phone and feels not solid at all.

i had the bumper and tbh, i really liked it. i know some people have issues with the fit, but mine was pretty much perfect. the grip on the black bumper was really good and it felt like it was part of the phone. i know some people aren't a fan of its aesthetics and lack of protection, but i enjoyed it. the bare back was definitely a little iffy for me but i've always been very careful will my things.

i did end up returning the bumper only because i wanted to try out other cases and i was going to buy the bumper again if i didn't find anything i liked.

i guess i am a bit fortunate in that i do have a 20 dollar credit with amazon so i decided to get the bumper for free from apple and maybe buy the pixelskin hd or get a full body film. i just can't decide if i want the sgp combo with the carbon fibre look. still doing a lot of research in which protective film will be a perfect match for my needs and the bumper :D

I've had the pink bumper on mine since the day the phone arrived, and I've had none of these issues. Fits fine, very very comfortable to hold (much more so than the naked phone), and a huge plus in that the phone simply can't slip off things like the arm of the couch as easily. My only complaint is the same mentioned elsewhere--problems with docks and third party charging cables. I'm working around it well enough, so it's not that big a deal to me.

I've been refunded for my bumper, not taking a third party case because I'd never use it. About the only thing I'd consider taking would be the white one, and they're not offering it.
 
Speck Fitted

After reading reviews and giving it some thought, I went with the Speck Fitted. The Pixelskin HD is what I would've chosen had there not been such a long wait, but the Fitted looks good and is already better than the case I settled for yesterday at the AT&T store. Cases in stock are hard to come by where I live and I ended up picking the least awful option as a temporary solution, knowing that I'd be ordering something online or getting one of the free cases. Eventually I might get a Speck Candyshell, but it depends on how much I like the Fitted.
 
I chose the Incase Clear Snap Case. It keeps as close to nude as possible.

Plus I've had Incase and others before and they make great and durable cases.

My pixel skin hd says ships oct

ordered PixelSkin HD. Says ships Oct 5 , arrives Oct 8. WTF!!!!

Apple just wants to handle the media...screw customers who are complaining. I thought this is about customer service....how naive :(

can i say screw #%^!# AAPL...lot of fanbois here...dont go crying on me.

I do like iphone 4 though...my first Apple product ever, and totally love it. It does look like a luxury car (as steve was implying) compared to other cell phones. I can forgive all other screwups by apple.
 
I initially ordered the Pixelskin HD but then seriously started regretting my decision. Thus far I've been using the iPhone nude and I love the way it looks. I decided I want a clear case instead so I called Apple and changed the order to the Incase Snap Case (Clear).

As an added bonus, my estimated shipping date moved up 10 days to August 30th. :D
 
sasasushi, welcome to Incase Snap Case (Clear) camp! ;) Hope it works out for both of us. My reasoning for going with a clear case is along the lines of aggie .

To me it's the nicest-looking case that appears to offer any sort of drop protection. I think the iPhone 4 looks great naked too but it'll look less great if I smash it.

IMO the coloured cases are better but they're not available yet.

macrumors already reporting UK customers seeing their free bumpers start shipping ...

hope other manufacturers also produce enough and ship it to soon.
