Such anger over a minor little bug, in an OS that does so many amazing things. And such a minor oversight by a company that does so many amazing things. Truly sweeping, broad condemnation for what is a microscopic fraction of the whole. I hope you people are a little less damning in other aspects of your life.

It's like having a £300k sports car with all the gadgets but with an engine that doesn't start.

News flash- that's what the alarm clock on a £699 phone is for too. It's not unreasonable to expect it to work properly.

Next time buy a cheaper phone and a dedicated alarm clock. What can I tell you? No use whining about it here. We didn't sell it to you.

I'm really glad I saw this last night. I tested it before I went to sleep because I though for sure it would just work, but it didn't! I usually wake up a few minutes before my alarm anyway, but this morning probably would have been the one morning I didn't. I wonder how many of my employees are going to be late this morning...

I'm not whining. What's the point in an alarm clock on a phone if it doesn't work properly? I've used a mobile as my alarm since the mid 90's and never had a problem since the iPhone. Why such a blind defence of Apple?

Part of the charm of an iPhone is that it is supposed to consolidate a range of devices into a single one.

Sometimes my expensive computer plays up and forces me to restart it. But I just move on and concentrate on more important aspects of my life. An alarm clock app screws up...? Are you serious?

BTW I can attack Apple as well as the next man.

Yes, I'm serious. We'll just have to agree to disagree. Now move along.

Except that buying a cheaper phone you don't need to buy a dedicated alarm clock because the one on the phone just works.
