iPhone Driver's License Support Expands to More Californians

.Anyone who got this to work can confirm you can display the DL license from a locked screen like you can with a plan ticket? This would be a major benefit compared to the mDL app.
Nope. Must unlock phone to access wallet cards. But perhaps it pops up when placed on the appropriate NFC reader? I would guess they require authentication though.
"Service unavailable." So typical of the State of California these days.
It's pretty much worthless. None of the TSA checkpoints at Sky Harbor will let you use it. I ask every time I go and each time; they tell me to insert my license into the machine. They don't accept digital IDs.

You should have been there when I was trying to get my car title from DMV. THAT WAS UNMITIGATED RAGE!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I consider it a sort of foot in the door test case with hopes of being widely accepted in a few years.
Verification failed for me. I also have the CA DMV wallet app. I’m wondering if I need to remove the ID from the app.
I think what is more annoying is that I've had the CA DMV wallet for more than a year and not only did I need to do advance verification with my passport, it was still ultimately rejected. Trying again now....
Arizona here and totally agree! Even in Skyhabor they didn’t accept the digital ID. I gave up on the idea of places even accepting them
Was able to complete process and shows in Wallet. However, it doesn't display any driver's license info, just your full name. Have to click the "i"and then select "Driver's License Info" to see actual details. Kinda of useless.
well, received an email stating that I need to complete verification - did that, wanted another proof of identity.
Then I received a wallet notification to complete verification, launched a link to the DMV website, got a timeout, and then the same page opened that I had completed via the email request. it then came back that the link needs to be updated, and then propped me with a screen to provide DL #, birth date etc ...
At that point, screw it, maybe too much traffic right now, I can wait a couple days to try this again

If you would like to try again, you can repeat the enrollment process and follow the tips provided to you during the process.

just like with CCs in the wallet, have to re-validate. This one, my guess is go thru the whole process again
Same here, three times, my android phone got it the first time 2 weeks ago in less than three minutes
same thing, also have it on my Android phone, so not sure what's up today
I added mine and it requires DMV to verify. For simple identification purpose I think it's an overkill step. But given that it can get you through TSA, I'm quite all right with the extra verification.
Went through all the steps, submitted my passport, did the DMV website verification and rejected for some reason. Tried again and it says documents submitted. When I check the status it says "escalated" even though I already got the rejection email.
Some poor soul at the DMV probably got like 10,000 new verification requests today. Thanks to MacRumors!
