Think of it this way: When you hold the phone sideways (as you should for most photos and videos), that hideous vertical camera becomes beautifully horizontal.
Except we both know most people don't even hold their phone horizontally :p

So, they're bringing back the iPod polished steel backs that scuffed if you thought about them too long?

The steel of the Watch definitely does too.

It will include EarPods and a USB cable with power adapter. Most expensive iPhone 7 does not come with extras and there's no reason this will be different. AirPods are what, 160? Dock is what, 50? No way you are getting over 200$ worth of goods for free.
I predict that Apple will have the courage to not include the EarPods with their upcoming iOS devices.

I like the look of that. Wasn't digging that render that we saw yesterday that looked like a iPhone 7, just with a larger screen.

If u can use those vertical cameras for vr and ar filming, iphone pro may make sense

Well...
The phone looks good. I don't think Apple needs my posts anymore.

I think if the iPhone follows suit Of offering a stainless steel chassis with an embedded touch ID under the display and in a 5.8 OLED model, this is going to be a record-setting iPhone this fall. The price point being the scariest part, but looking very forward to see how this all comes together.

But unfortunately if frame material will not bend when dropped then all the stress/shock will be transferred to glass, which will make the screen to shatter.
The material used for frame should be able to absorb most of the stress/shock when a phone is dropped, it is better to have a dent in the frame than a shattered screen.
In the category "coulds", it "could" also have a mini TupperWare housing, introducing a real waterproof, dustfree, fall-proof, problem free casing (but it won't)

I don't like steel as material, even if its polished, it looks damn bad with time

This render is far too attractive to be an Apple design. It needs more antenna lines and really thick bezels to make the cut.

Do you really think that design is attractive?

What is the benefit of virtical cameras for AR?

My guess would be some form of stereo vision (or "3D" as marketing people like to call it). All the solutions based on a camera + non-transparent screen solution that I've seen use a single camera and I guess it works fine on something you hold in your hands. For something that sits in an HMD stereo vision could be a great extra.

Rotating the camera bump by 90 degrees doesn't make it any less ugly.

Can we go back to having it flush with the body please? Other manufacturers are doing this without issue.

This Is a good point, even if Apple changes the orientation of the dual camera, it doesn't make it any less Appealing than it is already now. What I think Apple does need to is make the Camera flush with the chassis, which would be much more aesthetically pleasing, which has zero effect on the performance of the iPhone. It's still give it a much more refined look flush.

Great example of planned obsolescence here.

Apple have been publicly stating interest in AR for a while now. They brought out a dual camera iPhone 6 months ago, but whoops, the cameras are the wrong way around on that one so it can't support AR, you'll have to get the new iPhone for that.

now is the time we will see more and more different rumours and leaks..going to be a long summer

WOW! admin of this forum?? Why can't I comment on the latest new blog post?
I guess it does not matter. Today Intel announced that it was canceling it's developers conference and moving away from PC's to POST PC WORLD

WHICH MEANS NO MAC NEW MAC PRO
THE WHOLE FUTURE OF THE MAC AND MAC HARDWARE IS NOW UP IN THE AIR
UNLESS APPLE USES IT'S OWN ARM PROCESSORS
WHICH I WILL NOT BUY
BUILD MY OWN PC AND GO BACK TO WINDOWS

PS I HAVE MILD CEREBRAL PALSY AND APPLE HAS DENIED ME A JOB WORKING IN THEIR STORES BECAUSE OF MY CEREBRAL PALSY
HOW MANY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES HAVE YOU SEEN WORKING AT APPLE??
NONE!! THEY DISCRIMINATE!!

i would actually welcome this. then Apple would not be required to implement that annoying "high volume" warning pop up everytime u raise the volume on EU devices which lights up the screen every single time
