Why is it that you guys are always 'confirming' with Dalrymple what other sources tell you.
I mean I can probably answer with a yep or nope depending on what source you guys are confirming with as much accuracy as him.
nope. his data is 100% reliable -- he knows because they told him. so when he confirms it, it's a fact. not so with you.
----------
Yes he has been, less than others, but he is not always right.
can you link us to a yep/nope for which he was wrong?
----------
I really can't stand that "yep" guy
Every year he says the same thing.
Pretty narcissistic of him.
what? he says it because he has insider apple data and confirm the *real* rumor from the false ones.
it's not narcissistic, it's his job. his apple blog is his full-time job.
----------
Because its not like he's any more relevant than anyone else reporting the announced date
...
He always says yep to things that are pretty safe.
nonsense -- it wasnt announced. the date was rumored and he confirmed it. it still hasn't been announced.
im not his greatest fan but you clearly dont know your facts. his data is insider.
----------
"Dalrymple is well connected at Apple and has on many occasions either confirmed or refuted other reports and rumors in simple one-word posts with 100% accuracy"
Get some right and get some wrong. Guess enough dates and eventually you get some right. And many occasions is not 100%. All occasions is 100%.
youre reading it wrong. he confirms/refutes rumors only on "occasion", but when he does so is 100% accurate. i know this hurts you.
"Such reports are generally taken as coming directly from Apple but delivered through an unofficial channel."
Only if you think rumours are fact. I will wait for Apple to confirm it.
youre missing the point. he's 100% accurate because they tell him. yet he isnt apple, which is why this article says "all but confirmed".
----------
How likely is it that Apple comes out with a bigger screen?
just happened last year, so very very unlikely.
----------
You know what would satisfy me??!
If this pompous blogger - let's not even say a journalist because he never was or will be should say more than "yup"
It's completely egotistical and frankly insulting.
A one word response.
What a child.
"Yup."
my god, what is *wrong* with you? were you abused by him as a child??
he was the editor-in-chief at Macworld magazine. he left that to run his own FT blog. he comments on many things apple-related. he reserves the yep/nope for confirming or refuting particular rumors, as he sees fit. he does not owe you a damn thing.
you have serious issues if you feel otherwise.
----------
Couldn't agree more. And boy, is he an Apple fan boy. Sometimes it's hard to listen to his podcast because it's so one sided.
dude. he was the editor of MACWORLD. what do you expect him to like?
His rationalization as to why the Nexus 7 form factor was bad but then months later how the iPad Mini is the almost perfect device borders on the insane
not insane at all -- do you realize they are two completely different aspect ratios? you get that, right? or do you think that "small" is all the same?
