Great picture. Bad setup... Your top 16 apps require an extra tap to get to. Waste of time for no upside. (IMHO)
The upside is I'm incredibly OCD about this and I love having the blank screen showing, but I can see why you'd say that! Different strokes for different folks:D

Are you actually OCD? It's in reality a terrible disease. My sister has it and has been on medications and in and out of institutions as a result. If you don't actually have OCD you shouldn't bandy the term around as a defense.

I do actually possess it, however I can manage it (usually...) but often I find myself obsessively polishing my possessions the same way, arranging things I need them (example on first post), etc. It's not a serious case, no.

I like to have a blank first page when jailbroken, so until then:

I like minimalism, but not when it sacrifices usability.

In your case to use any app other than messages or camera you have to use two taps. That kills it for me :D

So let me get this straight......
You had your first iPhone at the age of 14 or 15? I'll be impressed if you've bought them all yourself. But what did you need a phone, much less an iPhone for since 14/15? I can understand having it once you start driving.

See honestly I don't really think it's a big deal with the snappiness of the iPhone 5. A short period of time memorising where apps are, I lose mayyyybe half a second opening an app. Not a big deal, especially considering I hardly use the other apps.

First iPod at 13, then iPhone just after I turned 14.

I went iPod 3rd Gen 8GB(bought for me)>iPhone 3G 8GB(bought for me)>iPhone 4 16GB(bought myself)>iPhone 5 32GB(bought myself).

EDIT: To answer what I need it for, for contacting my family when I'm going out, talking to my friends, discussing schoolwork (and other stuff of course), with a plan of $24 a month that I carry to my iPhone 5 currently, it was never HUGE expenditure, yeah it's a luxury but an affordable one :)

Nice setup Gathomblipoob! :D

Just curious: lets say the OP didn't have OCD, what would you want him to call it?

That's still quite impressive for the last two alone. You're not a such a bad guy after all. :p

Hahahaha I'm glad you think so! It was a lot of work and saving but still definitely worth it (I still have just under $4000 saved up so it's not like I'm running into overdraft :) )

I'll actually sacrifice a split second of speed for aesthetics. It's not my idea, though; I got it from the administrator of everythingiCafe.

Yes, I completely agree. I just got sick of looking at the icons so I buried them all :D

Cool but, do you actually use your iPhone as a phone? I noticed your phone app is in a folder. The one thing I would think you would want quick access to is hidden away in a folder. WTF?

Mine is better. I have the iBlank icons so my real home screen starts on the second page.

Like I said, I like a blank first page when jailbroken. However, I have an iPhone 5.

It's not that much trouble to open a folder. Anyway, the phone app is usually in the multitasking dock. Like I said, a split second is worth the aesthetic I prefer.

Yeah, I don't call people. Pretty much ever. It's just how I am. Only reason I've used the Phone app was Field Test mode :D

I'm wondering what program you used. I cant seem to get to springboard using FileZilla...

Thanks

edit: iPhone 5

I have an iPhone 5 as well. The iBlank icons transfer over.

I see many people in lower years than me at school with iPhones - they aren't 'special' nowadays, ie pretty much anyone can afford them on 2-year contracts.

I bought my first one at 14, took me a few years to gather the money and had to part with a load of my stuff! All worth it in the end though :p
