iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 6 has not arrived

I don't think you understand that you are a freaking lab rat. Apple could release a beta that completely bricked your phone. Guess what, that's completely fine. Beta testing is to work out the kinks in software, not to always make a product that works all the time. Sometimes a developer will remove a function to see if a new function will work, and visa versa.

I wouldn't recommend it. I made a "when is beta 6 thread going to come out" when beta 5 had just been released thread

The mods deleted it.

Usesless threads speculating something that hasn't come out
Disorganized threads
questions being asked over and over again
Polls that are biased

Those are fine


but sarcasm (trolling) ... that's too far !!


(honestly though I think the mods do a great job, especially given the amount of crap they have to deal with on a daily basis, jut giving you guys an isolated incident )
 
How do you get MMS & USB tethering working on Beta 5

I've had MMS enabled since beta 3, so how do I make it and usb tethering work on beta 5
 
okay, guys.....
its May 27th! more than 2 weeks have passed since Beta 5, AND the supposed 7-Day trial of the Push Service Should be over since Monday..... Where is Beta 6???:confused::confused:
 
Beta 5 was released (May 06) 3 weeks ago tomorrow (May 28)

The Push testing for the AP News app finished today (well that is the message I got this morning), as was said 7 days

AP released a new v2 app yesterday (v3 has to be removed)

Beta 5 expires in 2 days (so other threads say)

I expect Beta 6 to arrive Thu or Fri, probably Thu

I could see it being released tonight.

It happened with the 2.0 betas. There was a point where one version expired before the next version was released. The devs had an unusable phone for about 24 hours. Apple clearly tells you not to put the beta OS on your every day device.
 
Wow I had no idea that these Betas expire. My phone bricked using Beta3 and had no luck exchanging it for a new device in-store because the moisture sensor had been activated yet my phone works just fine. Hope it is released soon I've had some serious problems with Safari and unlocking the phone when it's "sleeping"

can i ask you to send me your custom ipcc??

i have mms working again, but, every time i try to use tethering, the option disappears from the phone, it's quite strange....

the tethering option is there right until i connect the phone then it just vanishes
 
I'm not surprised in the slightest. I said Apple wouldnt release another beta and so far, thats holding out to be true. COULD happen next week or even another beta after WWDC with a release of software end of June.

I'm just speculating here on what I think will happen. Time is so close now, I doubt they will be able to make much more changes

There were 8 betas for 2.0, with the last released on June 26th, 2008, which put the July 11th release well within the ~ 3 week span of a given beta.
 
well i think it may not come out till thursday, friday.. possibly saturday.. as late as possible.. i dont think their going to release it until they get the bugs out the push server corrected.. i have a feeling in the next beta the push server will be available to all developers to test
 
Beta 5 may be the last if the person who got the info from the lockdown file is correct. WWDC is June 8-12, the 19th would be a week after WWDC ends, which sounds plausible for the final version to come out on the 19th.
