Get your crap together, AT&T.

Jesus, yes. Half of my incoming calls are going straight to voicemail, even though my phone is sitting here, good to go.

Never had that problem with my 2G - that I was aware of at least.

AT&T tells me, "We're working on the towers until November; you'll have some problems until then."

Awesome.

i agree. want it to remain in landscape all the time, like in new post in tweetie.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! No landscape in text and mail! You can't even read past texts and type a new one at the same time in landscape. Just an on/off switch Apple.

Landscape keyboard

I hate the Landscape Keyboard, and when laying in bed it always switches, and is super annoying

Hi all,

Don't know if anyone else has picked up on this, but if you wish to use your iPhone or iPod touch whilst lying on your side, let the keyboard go into landscape mode, then turn the device upside down and it will lock in landscape mode.

It has worked this way in Safari for quite a long time... I'm not sure when Apple implemented this feature, but I'm pretty sure that it has been this way for several versions of the iPhone OS. This now also works for Notes and Mail too!

I would like for a quicker method of toggling between 3G and Edge. Perhaps a shortcut on the home page??

Also, i really could do with a "Mark all read" option in the Mail app

definitely, basic email functionality. Also a small envelope icon between the time and the battery percentage when you have new mail and aren't on that page of apps. just missing my blackberry a little. and also an option to have a popup preview come up when an email arrives and the phone is asleep.

I'm most excited about the video being open to developers now. Will we finally see a Qik for iphone in the app store? Probably not or at least not in US since AT&T would complain their network can't handle it.

i would like facebook to allow video uploads aswell, i don't care for using youtube too much and would rather my closer friends see vids i upload.

I figured someone would have made an app to do this. I remember it was an app on jailbroken phones. Unfortunately I'm in an anti 3G bubble in my house but everyone else around me does 3g fine. I've ended up just keeping it in edge unless I'm out and about without wifi and I'll turn it on.

I'm trying that right now and it's not working. I tried both twisting it to the right, then twist 180 and also twist to right and flip it so I'm looking at the back of the phone. Neither way locks it in any position.

Looks good! I normally only install the SDK versions of the OS on my iPod Touch, but I'm tempted to stick this on my new GS, to check out the video editing APIs.

Since 3.0 I've noticed mail making a bit of a mess with my Exchange inbox over IMAP - duplicate messages and the such like. Is anybody else getting that?

Same here. I keep moving messages on my phone to my "Archive" folder and they are moving on my iPhone and staying in the inbox in Exchange.

I know, it took me about a week to find this feature.

But Apple should have a vertical only mode, where the only things that go horizontal are videos. I would use that almost every night! It would more or less turn off the accelerometer.

It could be called 'half asleep' mode, where it would play soft and soothing music. Filling the void between sleep and wake modes

okay, I may have gone a bit overboard there... but the ability to shut off the accelerometer would be nice.

My only complaints since day one was the ability to have more options for mail alert (more/longer vibrates, louder alert) and more options for text message alert.

I don't see these discussed very much, so I am curious if anyone else wants these same things?

Oh and the battery life still sucks....just sayin...

Actually I'd prefer better louder/longer CALENDAR alerts. I mean I practically had to buy Remember the milk because I kept missing the daintly little beep that the calander comes up with for appointments, it's so low it's pathetic. I never understood why the calendar lets you set reminders but then plays them back in such a way that you can easily miss them. I wish you could set any sound you wanted like with the alarm clock. I also wish you could set a reminder right on iCal and have it sync over along with the appointment.

Im experiencing HUGE gains in the area of the battery.

I have been experiencing bad battery drainage with 3.0 to the point that it would be 50% in about 4 hours which is pretty bad.

Currently, im on hour two with no USB connection and its still at 98%.

Thats pretty substantial.

Still at 98%? Try restarting your phone. I haven't seen that kind of improvement.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

These are all much needed improvements. I'm glad to here that they are refining 3.0 further.

Will these features apply only for the 3GS model or also for the 3G? I dont get it, I've seen iphone 3g jailbroken with video apps working great. How come the 3G doesnt support video

if you owned a company and came out with a new product, then offered it to everyone who had the old product....would that make any sense? so then why would apple add voice control, and video to older iphones? that would make the 3Gs's only addition be a faster processor. who would want to pay extra money for a little more speed?? the video and VC is well worth it for me, its amazing.

now im sure there are some technical issues that stop the regular 3g from having the video capabilities but i dont know.

That there hasn't been a way to disable the accelerometer has been disappointing to me for a long time.

Now with so many different uses for it, we really need an option under settings, with a separate on/off switch for each function.

Mail on/off
Messages on/off
Safari on/off
3rd party apps on/off

Etc.

I would like for a quicker method of toggling between 3G and Edge. Perhaps a shortcut on the home page??

And for toggling wifi on/off.
And for toggling Bluetooth on/off.
And for adjusting brightness.

I loved SBSettings when I was jailbroken.

Having that functionality was by far my favorite feature of being jailbroken.

By, hey, at least we FINALLY get vibration when moving Apps around on the Homescreen. I've been wanting that since the original launch day.

I don't plan on buying another iPhone until Apple dumps AT&T. I live in a rural area, and the regional cell providers all have 3G service now. Not AT&T. And they can't even get MMS to work properly? Pathetic.
