Does this mean I can only create Albums using iPhoto or can I create them on the phone?

The settings menu for the iPod touch now resembles the menu for the iPhone and it has "Airplane Mode" now.

Turning keyboards on/off is now approached differently. There are no sliders anymore.

Adding new contacts looks different (Left: 3.1.3, Right: 4.0).

You can pick and choose which calendars you want instead of having all of them or only one.

I just noticed that when someone sends a mass txt and you are a part of that, you get to see everyone else it was sent to. Now, I don't know if this depends if those people are on your phonebook or if the sender has an iPhone also. But, certainly not the case previously. Almost e-mail like.

Maybe because someone had forwarded it multiple times before? or maybe it was sent from an email?

Not sure why people talk about persistent wifi being a working feature.

On my 3GS there is NO persistent wifi. If I hit the power button to put my 3GS to sleep in iOS 4, and then a minute or two later hit the home button, it's on 3G when it wakes up, and then 5 seconds later or so, wifi comes on. So for me at least, wifi does not persist during sleep. Neither does it make sense that it would persist, since that would drain battery SO fast.

I haven't been paying attention to it on my iPod touch 2G but it should be there.

Apple said:
iPod touch can stay connected to Wi-Fi when asleep so you can receive incoming VoIP calls and notifications from compatible third-party apps.

Well it doesn't work on my 3GS, that's for sure. Easy way to test. Put the phone to sleep. Wake it up a minute later. Sure enough, there's my 3G logo and then a few seconds later the wifi pops over it.

Weird:confused:. I just had my iPod in sleep mode for 10 minutes and when I turned it back on it was connected. Maybe it's iPod only?

There is not. The guy intended to say he hopes people find that. it is not true

This is the part of Apple arrogance that really pisses me off! 3-4 years with the same crappy SMS tones... for what reason? It's would take minutes for some programmer to allow custom tones, or at the very least, allow you to purchase them on iTunes! My guess is that it's some sort of pavlovian marketing ploy, and it's a major reason people jailbreak their phones.

As funny as it is to see 10 people in a crowded place reach for their phones every time an iPhone alert goes off, it's getting annoying. I was really hoping 4 would change things.. I guess not.

Not that I expect anything from it but I for the first time ever sent an email to Mr. Jobs.

This is pretty sad honestly. It's something that really needs to be on this phone - of ALL PHONES ever made - this one especially. Why it's not there - boggles the hell out of my mind. I am guessing it's been that way since the first gen phone? I have only owned the 3G + so I don't know.

You can now change the calendar for an event directly from your phone (if you have multiple calendars). This has been bugging me for a while...but you still can't change the group for a contact.

Now if you bring up the iPod controls on the lock screen when the music is paused, it will show the album art. Previously it only showed the album art if the music was playing.
