It was never required to test it for transmission and it was never promised if you read the reports. It clearly stated that effectiveness against transmission was unknown.

Later studies did show a reduced transmission rate.

We were clearly told by gov’t officials, the media, and the herd that bought into the propaganda that taking this vaccine would stop or severely slow the spread and that it was about saving other people’s lives. You can literally find videos of it everywhere. The misinformation campaign was massive.

Two problems with your fact check… Reuters is part of the propaganda machine and real world data shows that IF there was a reduction in transmission, it clearly wasn’t enough to warrant a mandate. If you look at the data around the world, vaccine mandates did little, if any, to slow the spread. Most African countries (I have business there) never received sufficient vaccines yet they’re just as well off as the western nations that forced vaccines on everyone.

I always had the feeling that the lockdowns have been a bit of an overreaction and also ineffective. But Chinas insistence on them especially even after the rest of the world has stopped makes me wonder if they know something we don’t. I hope that’s not the case.

If you think it is about caring about their citizens, you are laughably wrong. one word: control

You know how the virus is still penetrating these closed loops? Someone is being reckless. It’s usually someone in management who usually the ‘do as I say and not as I do’ type. They are not wearing their mask outside of work or
taking necessary social distancing when away from the compound. After contracting the virus outside they bring it to the factory and don’t even practice proper safety measure and spread to those poor workers who end up suffering for it.
What a lot of cr+p. You would think people have woken up to this farce by now.

I’m glad you know more than professionals. Might also tell your dentists you can chew on fluoride tablets to not get cavities.

You do know there are people both good and bad at their job? They are still professionals. You can get good science, and bad science. What do you think happens when bad science wins like it did over COVID response? and anyone who dares challenge it is silenced and censored?

Just look in the UK what was happening behind closed doors at the time. https://news.sky.com/story/rishi-su...-much-influence-over-decision-making-12680842

You answered your own question. China is not "most countries".

Fair enough, yet perhaps we could question how realistic or attainable is their “Zero Covid” policy. How is this even possible epidemiologically? It is like going for a “Zero flu” or “Zero shingles”, etc. Meantime, it hurts their and their business partners economies. 🤷🏻‍♂️

yea China and Zero COVID policy is kind of stupid at this point. Yes I believe in vaccines , but that was the whole point of the main lockdown was to study and build vaccines, now we have to learn to live with it. Even China Disney is shutting down again.......
The other thing lockdowns are for is to keep the surge off of healthcare, but is it still that bad? Maybe since lockdowns just delay people eventually getting it, but once you open people get it

Ah yes, "Two weeks to flatten the curve." 🙄 There was never a surge in healthcare. It was all smoke and mirrors. NYC had a hospital setup in Central Park that was gone in about 3 weeks after treating 315 patients. The USNS Comfort sailed out of New York after treating 182 patients. The population of NYC is 8,804,190.

Yep I lived in NY and they set up Jacob Javitz and even had the navy send a ship that cost millions of tax payer dollars to house the infected yet they went unused.

But Quomo did send 10k-15k elderly to their deaths by sending them to nursing homes cos he cut a deal with them but the media lionized him anyway… until they found out he put his hand on the lower back of one of his aides at a party.

Another denier, it’s only matter of time. 🙄
Not denying anything that is not a fact. COVID obviously was and still is an issue but it was handled badly with hysteria and scaremongering tactics, useless vaccines that don't work, people were advised badly on face nappies and stupid social distancing, people were demonized for not doing certain things and stuff you were going on on your comment are a typical example of how gullible people can be on following advice from unproved science of these on power who did shut down anyone who disagreed with them. Now that is proved to be a farce they do come up with a "Sorry, we didn't know". They should all face the justice for what they have done to humanity.

Sadly they are stuck there because of their greed. Bring the manufacturing back to the US!
And how can Apple bring manufacturing back to the USA when:
1. American laws make manufacturing very difficult (i.e. see how long it takes to build a factory in SE Asia vs. USA).
2. Americans do not have the skill to manufacture things.
3. Americans are not willing to accept the wages to manufacture things like they do in China.

Ha, I get where you’re coming from but critical thinking, by definition, takes multiple views, evidence, and data into account to make an informed judgment. Idiocracy/idiocy therefore comes from a lack of thinking.

In this case, people who blindly parroted what gov’t officials, health “experts” and media told them, but never took the time to reconcile why mask and vaccine mandates never slowed the spread in the real world… or why the so called experts had several different recommendations on masks… or why 2 weeks to flatten the curve never materialized… or why the teachers union wrote the health policy for kids in schools… or why strip clubs were considered essential but churches, mosques, and synagogues had to remain closed… or why Walmart and Target could stay open but not the mom and pop shops that sold similar products… or why gov’t officials pushing these mandates were caught so often without masks when they thought the cameras were off… on and on.
Illustrates exactly why I needed to put quote marks around the “critical thinking”. Idiotic minds often can only think superficially.
• A lot of people didn’t follow the “always masks” and “always keep distances” (which of course also mean “no party”).
• Even if everyone followed the rule, those who were already infected would still gradually show symptoms and be tested positive in a period of two to three weeks
• Unless the two above factors above are PERFECTLY accounted, “prevent the spread” could only mean to cut off the original exponentially curve.

• Most of the small grocery stores in my area were all open during those days, as long as they have the ability to maintain the “always 6ft distance”, “always mask” and “frequent cleaning” requirements.
