This is a question for iPhone users who keep their iPhone for about 2 years or longer and upgrades the installed iOS version.

My question is, is there a noticeable upgrade or downgrade of photo quality from the initial iOS version on your iPhone as you go through several iOS updates/upgrades?

I'm unable to answer this myself since my primary device for taking photos is my DSLR camera and I only started lately to take photos using iPhone, specifically iPhone 6s due to very little to no processing compared to newer iPhone models.

I'm trying to limit this to those who only use the Apple Camera app but if there are others who use 3rd party camera app and notice some or major difference with the photo quality, please comment as well.

A bit off-topic but is there anyone who takes photos using iPad and is there a noticeable overprocessing like in iPhone or does the photos look more natural?

My iPhone 15 Pro is my only camera and I only use the stock Camera app. I am delighted with the quality of the photos and it seems to me like they are now better than they were before, but I didn't try taking the same photo of the same thing and compare. I just look at them and think they look amazing. In the past few months it's as if there is a bit more sharpness and brightness in the photos, but again, didn't compare, just a general overall impression that I have.
