No need to watch the press conference. HDR as implemented by apple is a trendy name for exposure bracketing.
Not really.
Exposure bracketing will give you 3 photos.
HDR gives you 1.
I'd say that's a big enough difference to come up with a new name, wouldn't you?
it's not a new name. HDR has been around for years...
I'm only saying that "HDR" is newer (and different) than "bracketing."
I think that's all accurate, isn't it? They're not the same is all I'm saying. Tarzanman thinks they are and I was disagreeing with that assesment.
HDR = bracketing
Did you even watch the presentation? You must not have or you would have stopped saying that by now.
No. I'm a photographer. Some of you might be new to HDR but its a fad that came and went years ago in digital photography.
Typical iphone fan-boy. Steve Jobs introduces an (old) feature to an iDevice and suddenly YOU'RE the expert. lol, get a clue man.

I'm also a photographer except that I know that 3 photos are different from 1 photo.
If someone asked me to "bracket" the shots and I only gave them 1 photo, that client would be pissed. Has that ever worked out for you?
You still don't see the difference between getting 1 shot and 3 shots? Because that's a pretty big difference.
Then you're a very ignorant one.
No. Apple TV is a media server - it has no storage nor any playback internals (no cd, dvd or blu-ray)
It's interesting that, despite all the words you've used, you still haven't disproven my point.
This is what the ipod touch is doing. Besides NOT being revolutionary or new, I am willing to bet that the HDR on it is probably pretty poor because it is a cell phone camera with a horrible, tiny sensor.
